Pure Int Sword/Shield

Post by Repercussion »

I am a pure int sword/shield... and I am trying to decide what I would do for the 90 cap... and here is my current idea...

Fire - 82
Lightning - 90
Cold - 60
Bicheon - 68

Reasoning: At level 68, you will have the final series for knock-down along with the double stab. Lightning is a must maxed for a pure int and I won't consider it not being maxed... Cold is the hard part... cause for a pure int, you don't have much health, and you need good defense... and at level 60 you have the highest level of cold armor [currently] along with a high level of ice guard and a 40% damage reduction shield...

Please give any feedback on this build or suggestions...

There is no need for 90 bicheon... your a nuker, not a blader...

Fire has the strongest nukes at 90 cap and currently does at the 80 cap... along with the wonderful magical defense boost and fire shield...

Thats one build I will not do...

whats wrong? your blader not so amazing anymore?
how did that happen? you know how to press all the buttons in PVP with your blader unlike all the level 80 noobs so you should own everyone right?

I use bicheon skills more than Nukes. Knockdown + Stab is amazing. And not to mention the new chains coming... Those chains will be your damage creater.

You knockdown % chance against level 90s will suck with such low sword mastery.

50% chance to KD vs a level 68.

I dont know exactlky how much the % chance drops off the higher you get, but I do know it is noticable even at level 79 with 71 sword its not kd level 80s as often.

Good job trying to think out of the box. I have no idea if your build would work, but just understand that you will be loosing some br passive(i would think) + those castle wall skills. (Im not familiar with bichon 90 skills)

Though wouldn't 50% snow vs 40% completely make up for the magic defense buff that you would be loosing? And then you can freeze all the people who are dropping fire lol.
Ice imbue +chains might make a come back.

I have taken that into consideration... but I've had level 30 bicheon at level 60 and I usually knock-down a level 60 25%+ of the time... thats plenty...

So I think thats plenty... Level 68 bicheon should be able to knock-down a level 90 about 30%+ of the time... and thats plenty I think...

Not doing that build. Too many people doing it and I want fire... and ice will not be needed to be maxed... 40-50% damage reduction is plenty...

At 90 cap there's no way to maintain a good balance of light fire and ice unless you don't take weapon tree. You either get fire and drop bich/ice or you don't get it at all, no in between imo.

I might try and get about 70 ice so I have 45% damage reduction... that will be plenty, and you won't need any higher with a good set...

68 Bicheon just for the double stab, and about the knock-down, you will still have a 30% chance of getting a knock-down on a level 80.

90 Lightning will be needed for anyone ...

and as goes for fire, I am still deciding...

Why don't you say what you're looking for. If you want this char to pvp then take the 90 light/ice/bicheon build, if it's more pve and pt oriented then take light/ice/fire 90. At 90 cap there's a new light nuke, with those 2 nukes you'll be fine.

the more you try to hybridize your masteries the weaker you will be
higher level of bichion is actually amazing, ofc you wouldnt know because your blader is low level
with the status effect of division and bleed, my physical dmg of my kd went from 5k to 7.5k

not only that, but you can also get 8% more BR, and iron wall, which saves your life for 15seconds

Bicheon you miss out on the Chain and first book to inflict vid. You lose out on VERY good skills.

Fire is stronger than lightning. The only reason you get lightning is for the grass walk and piercing force series.

I need to check with my friend and get the site that has the stats for the 90 skills.

but.. right now I don't think you will need ice at level 90... just for 2 skills and one passive...

I actually can see a lot of potential in this build. Just don't play like a blader like most nukers do and you should be OK.

No, At lvl 68 you'll have the last kd ans stab, but you won't really do any damage to ppl or mobs at lvl 90 because your skill att. power will remain 22 lvls below. That's why farming is so annoying, because it takes for ever to kill things even2-3 lvls lower without a sox wep. And I plainy think that Nukers shouldn't use wep skills at all because they use phys attack and only really do damage from the imbue.

fire/ice/light I doubt that nuker whit no fire is a nuker. so try and work with all forces whit force tree this gets alittle 2 complicated the strongest nuker is a fire/ice/light one only because it has no gimp bicheon. the mastery of bicheon does not effect ur magic dmg so its worthless IMO. the onyl i can see weapon trees working well on a pure int is if you have SUN weapon.

I guess I will have to play around with the skills... Cause bicheon is useful, but I don't think I will need level 90 of it... and fire is important because the imbue along with the nukes are stronger than any... and I want to have an original strong build...

Does anyone know a site that shows the 90 skills? Cause the site my friend uses is down... shows info level by level...

Fire is stronger, but by hardly. My fire and lightning nuke have like no difference. Fire isn't needed for pretty much anything for INT except the fire shield.

I think I will end up doing a pure int build, or trying out this build. If I don't like it, I will just use silk and have it removed... simple as that. I am tired of seeing too many un-original builds... thats why I am trying to design my own, and having fire would give you an advantage against most nukers since they wouldnt have the extra magical defense boost of 126 magical defense...

Thats not quite accurate cause you only get to remove one skill, and their would be like 100... so I guess I have to decide... >.<

Well at level 81 I have full D9 set, so I could stop leveling and buy a SUN set and sword/shield and just keep the skills I want :)
