Corrupt Players

Over the years of playing SRO i've realized one thing. No matter how nice a player is in their low levels they seem to turn into an ass once they hit lvl 64 and up. They are usually nice to their own guild/ union but to everyone else they seem to be a complete ass. This doesnt happen to all but it seems to happen to at least half the players.

Does anyone else see this happen? I personally dont know why this happens but I think its because they fail at life and Sro is the only way they can feel above other people (what an accomplsihment).

This one guy on Aege just recently hit lvl 64 the other day and seems to have turned this way. He has a loud mouth now and thinks he runs the server. He had the nerve to call me a scammer and a botter. He did this all while I was happily pvping in DW just out of the blue. After that he started talking even more i all i said was I want proof but he said he didnt need to give any. So i happily killed him repeatedly for a good 15 minutes before he left. Besides the point, my point is that this guy was once a cool guy that people could hang out with but now he turned into this type of person.
Does anyone else see this in other players commonly or is it just me?

Oh I see it. A smaller form of it is when lower level people get killed by higher leveled people in cape PvP, and they complain. So, when they reach a higher level, they do the exact same to them.

I was a very nice guy back when i was playing . I didnt pvp alot not much in job i just doing my own thing and helping out the low lvl if they need help or if i pvp i'll kill any high lvl that try to kill low lvl in pvp

Happens in pretty much every game, people get to a high level, so they become all cocky and full of themselves, especially chinese players seeing that as a euro with silk its not that hard to reach a high level with good parties.

I do the same. I absolutely hate it when High levels kill low levels when the low levels are minding there own business. Sure, if the low level is attacking him, than you can attack back. But otherwise, I think its totally unfair/unjust.

Thing is:
1. I dont repeatedly kill lower lvl characters
2. I plvled this guy from lvl 30-40 for free

And this is the thanks i get...I regret wasting my time and gold.
Guess im gonna stop plvling people that arent real close friends of mine that have helped me.

I poke them mostly...If they die, they die...If they dont, they will run away thinking they survived an attack from me...lolz

I mostly kill higher lvls just randomly killing lower lvls, and sometimes when they cant stop teaming on someone (higher/lower or same lvl)

I try to be nice to everyone who isn't a bot/ass(I know of) and doesn't ask for 10k(that includes all begging), I use to anyway, its not cus i'm high lvl that I don't that much now lol, its just cus the community in sro is so bad.

i think it's mainly the community that made every1 sour. the higher lvl u get, the longer u've played, the more u'r exposed to sro's community. if u have a friendly guild/union to ground u, then u should be fine at higher lvls.

Your level means nothing. Anyone can press buttons good. It takes a brain and commitment which 90% of people have, I can't keep a character down... =(

Heck even if you don't have commitment you can still know a lot more about the game even without a high level. The key to most games is being smart. You can be a high level and know all the simple things. But, knowing the more complex parts of the game is how you can shine above all else, but still level is 99% of this game so not so much in this game...

Having a high level does make most people arrogant though. Arrogance is pretty natural especially on the interweb. Having power over most other people who play is why this happens, and the ability to be anonymous. Really, you just have to tell yourself sometimes it's the interweb and just let him talk to him/herself. Or that old saying "Sticks and Stones".

All I can say is there is a place and time for being arrogant. But, the rest of the time just be a nice person. It's best for everyone, if you do it others will hopefully follow too.

It’s not just you, I can think of countless people i've known who've done exactly the same thing.

It tends to happen in most games once someone is given a position of power, or in this case a feeling of power due to their level. People either handle it well or feel the need to abuse there newly gained position and this game is pretty corrupt so abuse is rife.

But often you’ll find once they've had their fill of fun (abusing others) they mellow out a bit, and become as they were but only if they see what an ass they’ve been.
