Str Light

Post by vacsux »

Pure STR, blade or glaive with light?
I only take Blade/Light or Glaive/Light.
Which is better and why?
And no, don't tell me to take Fire instead.
I just like Light, but which to take: Blade or Glaive :?

Well you can do this and once you hit 80 real fast, you can delevel the light imbue and farm for Fire mastery. So you'll be:

80 Husk
80 Light
80 Fire
60 Cold

Or you can stay with just 2 masteries. It's all up to you.

Blade and glavie are two completely different animals. Have you played each? Which do you like better anyways?

Well having played both. I would prefer glavie, they do more damage faster. Blader just kinda tank so not many people fight them since they make thier oppinets waste pots.

Glavier has high damaging crit/stun skills. This is a damage dealer and has an hp bonus.

Blader has status effects(only one one chain and the high lvl smash) and they can KD. This isnt a damage dealing char it just tanks.

any build with just light will be weak, but if u insist glavie/light. U will need basically all of the heuk tree beside annihilation series and heuksal series if u dont want to farm much (I waould take heuksal series though). Chain series is optional.

There are guides stickied that will help with your skills. And yeah don't worry about being just light, if you change your mind later at higher lvls you could always switch pretty easily.

Lightning glavier is the fastest lvling glavie build. run fast, low sp requirements, and imbue that attracts mobs for faster killing.

Try:
80 blade
80 light
80 glaive
60 fire
Since u want light

If i were to do this i would do
80 blade
80 fire
80 glaive
60 light

Blade for the status' and then switch to glaive for massive dmg.
Or instead of blade u could go with force.

I prefer bladers to glaives... Why?
I have a level 73 friend with only his lv72/73 stuff +5/4 with blues, rest is white and +2.
He can tank lv80s if playing smart, and he can fight a few people his own level and come out victorious with crits.
I mean glaive is kickass but blader is amazing survivability, which increases your success rate.
But to tell you, a str char with only light and weapon tree will SUCK.
You'll have lower damage than most strs, you'll have less mag def, you won't be immune, firewall is invaluable against wizards, lv20-30 ice can make you super tank and you keep enough mp to attack, you'll have less phy def, the piercing force and concentration only help so much, you'll be half of a char.
