how would i know if my character is a waste?

im having thoughts about my main character in babel...it was my very first..well obviously "main" meaning its the highest lvl of all my chracters...so here it is..when i started playing silkroad..i absoulutely knew nothing about the game...i just wanted a strong chracter ...i didn;t know nothing about the logic thing in chracter building and other aspects in having a strong character...my problem is...im having thoughts about it cause..it wasn't raised verywell but its lvl 40 already "for me" a strong glavier...im thinking of the future cause... i might waste time playing it..while in my low knowledge it wont get any stronger..it wasnt properly farmed (thinking of farming it now) need to know opinion from you guys..if you think i should continue playing this charcter..tell me if this chracter has hope of getting stronger in the future..PLEASE guys!! i need your help! im still kinda clueless at this point! thank you thank you!

all depends on your stat allocation, anything else can be fixed, so if you did something crazy like 1:1 then make a new char.
farming is not a issue, you can always 8man farm generals at lvl80, i dont know why so many low level thinks they are screwed because they didnt farm at lower level, sure it might be faster, but you will get drops at generals

hmmmm....but other players say that, if you dont farm..when you get to higher levels you'll gonna die saving for skill points cause one skill would cost like a thousand skill point..explain that

Gain and use is relative. You gain more SP per mob and use more SP per skill. It really depends on what skills you have and what skills you want.

Try http://nivlam.com for various char building tools. You can input you skills and see how many SPs you will need and see how many you will earn per gap. You miight not need as much as you think.

Yeah listen to raged and nightbloom farming SP isn't really a problem as:

Gain and use is relative. You gain more SP per mob and use more SP per skill. It really depends on what skills you have and what skills you want.

It really depends on where you've allocated your stat points, as ultimately that's where the strength of your character lies.

The rest is about your gear, your skills and the way you play. All that can be taken care of with enough gold, sp farming and learning.

If you're still concerned post the stats of you character and i'm sure you'll recieve the feedback you're after.

As long as it's a pure str, you can fix it up nicely.

But as raged said, if it's some crazy hybrid messed up shit then just restart.

40 is not hard to get to, just find an academy that will p lvl u, if u were on oasis i would.. but idk post some stats

You obviously need top always farm sp, but hey look at my char. Lvl 66 Nuker with absolutley crap skills. I've only been raising my light and Fire nukes up for the longest time and I have no buffs or anything and I die a lot, but I'm not gonna start over. Just start farmning know if you want to. Only restart if you can afford a good sp farm weapon cause My brother started playing a lvl 16 with a 9 gap and it was an absolute waste of time cause he only got like 100sp a day before he got bored.

Just delete the glavie you put few/several points to int.

Getting to 40 should take a few days if you can powerlvl yourself or have a good friend that can plvl you but its always fun starting over

i had the same problems as you. my first char(which is no longer my main) was lvl 28 and had a farked up build. i deleted it since i lost interest in it. Unless your problem is with it's build or the community in the server, dont delete it lol. Do you have any other chars? try playing around. I started off playing a bower after i deleted my glavie and stuck with it till 72. so it just depends on you. Also try to get into a good active union/guild. it really helps when you can lvl with good friends. or come to Hera <3

btw the way i realized my build suxed was wheni had trouble killing monsters 1lvl above me. With my glavie it took me 2-3 moves. With my bower, just took two and the range was good. Also try pvping with it.

Also post the stats lol. what lvl is it. how much is its str,int. do u have good weapon/armor? how's ur guild.
