Ok sweet and all... but does that mean I'll have to re-download everything or just a small(er) file to replace what needs to be fixed?

Good.
I'm about an hour in and like it so far. Runs well for something that looks this good.

But if it does crash at Jerusalem for everyone Imma be pissed I waited this long only to have 1-2 hours of play. :x

I had more than just 2 hours, you can still go to Acre insted of Jerusalem in Memory 2. But yeah, it seems that there are some corrupted files or something.

I plan on buying the final release anyway, but i've been waiting for it since it came out for consoles, so this chance to get it was welcome hehe

Hey just running around Damascus and stabbing people in the neck satisfied me. : ) A patch will probably be released soon I guess.

Of course! hidden blade + innocent archer = awesome.

I cannot speak for the differences of the engines only that this is best far the best port of a next gen console game stability-wise. All the U3 engine games except UT3 run poorly, at least on vista.

Doesn't look like there's a fix yet. Anyone else have different results?
And ya, I know you can use someone else's save but I don't wanna.

Seems that if you get some russian files you can play Jerusalem in russian and then go back to normal after you are done, but meh... i'll wait for the final release to come out and buy it.

Code: Select all

Patch Version Eng -> Rus for the Jerusalem Chapter (download anywhere you want works with RELOADED)

1) Copy/Paste the entire Assassin’s Creed directory to anywhere you want [IE : Copy it to desktop and rename it AC ENG)
2) Apply the AC_ENG_to_RUS.exe patch to your C:\Ubisoft\Assassin’s Creed Directory
3) Delete the “DataPC_StreamedSoundrus.forge” file
4) Copy DataPC_StreamedSoundfre.forge [for English Version it’s DataPC_StreamedSoundeng.forge or something like that] and paste it where was the file you deleted before [DataPC_StreamedSoundrus.forge]
5) Rename this file [DataPC_StreamedSoundeng.forge] in “DataPC_StreamedSoundrus.forge”!

6) Launch the game and… MIRACLE u can go to Jerusalem and the voice are in English or German or French or whatever is the language you want to play with!!!

7) when you have finished jerusalem delete the assassin’s creed directory and replace it with the AC-Eng directory that you’d copy at the beginning!!
8)Do the whole thing again if u need to return to Jerusalem later!!!

That’it Assassin’s Creed is playable with Jerusalem in Englis language… what want the people?!

Shan't tell you were to get the files, but yeah. This IS assuming of course you have down loaded the .forge files enabling you to play the game. All be it in Russian. This is simply a fix to get the Russian game translated into English.

I'm thinking of just renting it since I know people who played the game in PS3 and told me the fun only lasts for about 3 hours until it starts to get really boring and repetitive.

Yeah, the combat barely changes when you progress, and you are fighting most of the time. To me, the best is the visuals, i love the architecture and the way the people dress, among other things. That's why i'm getting it, and why i think it's worth it

How much RAM do you have?

Try going to options and putting the 'Crowd' setting on low. Helped me a bit, or play with the camera on birds eye view :s. AC is one of the worst game in terms of RAM friendliness.

Weird. Do you notice anything else wrong with the game or is it just slowdown? You could check for a video driver update.

Bad slowdown, like a slow mo looking thing. Then it freezes every once in awhile for a few seconds. Hard fighting people like that. In the Temple area it didn't lag at all but soon as i got into that town it slowed.

Nub Crum.
I assumed you would assume I would be smart enough to take the steps. I was wrong. Did them, it's still russian.

Was wondering, would it be possible the dl was bad? Friend and i used the same one and both ours lag. I could update drivers but i doubt it would help since hes on a NVIDIA SLI setup and im on a ATI set.

Likely no. If they files unrared fine it should be good. There were no bad uploads minus the Jerusalem bug.
