in his mind:
joymax is an evil corp who is paid by gold bots. by allowing gold bots to run free on the silkroad, joymax makes lots of money. they then use this money to pay large hairy men to ass rape legits on all servers. one of these men is the guy who shot kennedy. yes, thats right! the assasination of kennedy was needed in order for joymax to grow strong enough to change there ToS to allow bots. you see, kennedy was a legit who hated gold bots! GRRRR /insert mean face. now that kennedy is out of the way, only chuck noris with the help of his sidekick jacki chan can save the day. but wait! that bastard jacki chan is a dubble agent who really works for joymax and is sleeping with chucks wife! THAT BASTARD!
like sand thru the hourglass, so are the days of our lives....

JM even acknowledged the change in TOS FFS. besides, no where in there does it define "illegal" programs.

I'm fine with the rules, but, by the same token, I'm not gonna sit here and let someone flame me without replying back.

I agree with you. If you listened to what JM has said in the past, they've made it clear that this is a player's problem, not the company's problem. I disagree with them but I think the attitude reflects many things, some cultural. The world is filled with people who won't do the right thing unless forced to. JoyMax doesn't want to be police. They want to be computer game makers.
Two things have happened to let them know that players are making changes and want to get rid of botters: the legit dominance of Venus and the banning of botters on this forum. That sent a signal to JoyMax that we (or at least some of us) are going to try and solve this problem. They'll help out too.
I also expect them to have a greater GM presence in those servers with proportionately larger legit populations. We'll see.

SRO = 30mil registered users. Let's say 20mil buy silk.
20mil people, charging back an avg of $200 = 100,000 instantly taken from the company. (I know several people who have spent well over $1k, so the number's just a rough estimate.)
JM has around 200 employees totaled.
They'd go bankrupt before long, resulting in no SRo.

So if they chargeback $100,000, what does that leave them with? Probably still over $2M. $100,000 is not a huge loss if you have over $2M
As for the discussion of an illegal program, in the case of Silkroad Online you could define an illegal program as an unauthorised edit of the official client or a 3rd party program which directly interacts with the client. Aka, client which allow botting and bot help programs. This is not hard to see, it's merely common sense.

I mean they have to cross reference hundreds if not thousands of IGN with accounts and then double check them all. I t probably takes a long ass time to do especialy taking into account that they arent a large company. I think is is the reason why we dont get the weekly or monthly bot bans anymore simply because it takes so much time to complete.
The reason for the ban is not known by anybody you can stipulate reasons but its more than likley a simple coincidence, I mean they have probably been working on the list for a long time taking into consideration the last big bot ban was around the time of the Euro update.
I would be more interested in the thinking that a big update might be in the offering sooner than we though, they do tend to do a large ban before an update... and we all know 90 cap is due in the next couple of months.
