Hybrid Bow

After the 90 cap comes out I am thinking of making an 87:44 hybrid bow because I heard they hit hard and crit the same or higher then a pure str. My build is going to be 90 pach/90 light/90force/30 fire or ice, but I hav a few questions.

1. Wat force skills should I take (besides vital spot, I already know to take that)

2. Should I take 30 fire or 30 ice

3. wat is ur opinion on this build (plz discuss)

mm im not sure about the balance but i can help with the forces. including your build, i say take 30 ice, so you can tank a bit with a lil' snow shield.

since you already said you want force.
I would max either patch/force/light or patch/force/ice.


light is probably the better option.

I already siad that I was taking pach/force/light/and 30 of something else. @ Panu this is where I got the idea for the balance

Best build is 86-88% physical balance naked STR Hybrid Bow.
17k Hp at 80, 11k MP at 80.

can use snow shield like a beast, does a little over 1k average damage over Pure STR, and has the same crit damage.

it can tank better than the 70:70 after snow shield runs out and can kill faster than the pure str.
It also takes less damage than the pure str because it has more INT added, thats why u can crit 14k on pure strs and only crit like 6k on INTs.

This'll be the ideal bow build after everyone realizes it dominates. Liquidsmooth started it, now people just have to continue with it. I've begun to realize why he was so full of himself, ignorant, arrogant, etc..

I've had pure str, now I have this one. I wouldn't trade it for the world and yea I'm lvl 80, not a lvl 50 thinkin the build pwns without capped pvp experience.

The only drawback to this build that i can see is that once u realize u can use 30% snow shield while still having 17k hp, u get a better sense of security with it and u wanna pvp with it a lot, then glaivers call you out for it. Don't matter though, they call out on int's usin it too. I keep mine at 25% and dont really use it unless its against sun or against multiple people.

But hey, if you wanna stick to cookie-cutter Pure str for now, by all means do it. Doesnt seem like any 70:70 besides Tomiotar really enjoyed their build at lvl 80. Even KaWs (Undutchable) changed his 70:70 bow to spear.

yea thats my quote, and i have force as well that gives me a little over 13k mp total. (2k from passive)

im dropping fire at 90. Doesnt seem to be necessary when u have force vital spots like division, weaken, and decay. And if they pill the statuses off you're still hybrid so the pure str isnt outdamaging u and u can still launch arrows with snow shield up without a problem.

The only problem is when theres cleric holy spells involved to resist the vital spots, then ur a support character in the back line as a bowman should be. Typical during wars.

what u need from the force tree are the 2 skills that heal statuses so it renders bladers and glaive statuses useless, get res, and get all the vital spots except the 1st two cuz theyre a waste of time (attack rating and parry deduce). Harmony circle is an okay plus, i use it randomly south dw so earth ghosts stay away, and it helps when u plvl some people. Final book this cap wards off champions but not giants.

Lets just clarify something with that quote.

Tomiotar was not a 70:70 build, he was a 1:1. (70:70 is int hybrid)

Also he was saying that part of the reason his build was so good was that he could use higher than 20% snow shield. What lvl snow shield does lvl 30 give? (i dont remember)

Now for your origional question fire or ice

Fire will give you some physical damage increase and status immunity with fire shield.

Ice gives you snow shield.

I would be hinting towards fire personally but im not sure.

I dont remember the lvls of snowshield but you might want to see what lvl 40 ice gives you. If you left force at 80 you could still ress lvl 90 players. Just remember 30%snow would probably be the max for your build.

I've been able to launch skills against a full int sun s/s with mp at like 70% autopot with large mp pots. Havent tried 30% but XL pots should be good with it if uve got 13k MP and a garm set.

I had 30% snow intil the mid 70s, i had a pvp vid where my MP was gettin really low but i could still attack, never got cancelled once but that was way back when i had like a total of 10 str and int on my gears since i was really only lookin forward to blue-ing up 3rd tier 8d and not the 1st two.

i inferred tomiotar was 70:70 out of the fact that he posted quite a bit in the 70:70 bow build topic. I'd like to see him pvp with new skills in-game but he got hacked and quit.

I like hybrid bows, i can't stand seeing the weak antidevil noncrit of a pure str, even though str hybrid isnt that much stronger. Pvping a shield user with 100% block ratio is still a pain.

Is this good for force, the first book of natural therapy, cure therapy, and res in addition to vital spot. Imo force cure seems kinda useless cause regular universal pills cure the same statuses a lot faster. Also, I think im gunna take30 ice for the 23% snow shield.

tomiotar is 1:1 not 70s..ill think this is better than 70:70..IMO bias to str hybrid is better than int hybrid for bow.

really want to know if 2:1 str hybrid bow work
