ok guyz, i have a char that im thinking about switching to bow..rite now he is s/s hybrid INT..(not much hybrid) my build is like a 1:8 heavy INT, but anywayz...i was just thinking about how hard STR bowman can crit..and i was wondering if a hybrid or pure INT bowman could crit for same or is it less?
ive heard that crit is based off of STR points, but im not sure...so does anyone know the real truth? can pure str bow rlly crit for more than hyb/pure INT bow?
Does pure STR rlly crit for more than pure INT?

Crits double physical damage, physical damage is based off of str, hence, str based characters crit higher than int based characters.

Yes crits are based off of your physical damage. This doesn't mean you will crit for less when you are int hybrid though. Your base damage as an int is much higher then an str so when you add in the crit damage it equals about the same as a pure str crit damage.
Okay so that is the simple answer, crit damage is about the same.
Now lets make it a bit more advanced. The more str a character has the more physical defense they have. The more int the more magic defense.
This means that a pure str will crit higher on a pure int then you could. However you will probably crit higher on a str character. You wont always see that higher crit from your inthybrid on an str character because most str builds wear garms, since a lot of your overall crit damage still comes from imbue.
So who crits higher I would say depends on the situation garms vs armor / int vs str.
Oh and all the people who will disagree with me are basing there experience off of there int characters that were holding swords or spears. If they held blade or glavie they would have seen those higher crit numbers.
