Assasins Creed for PC

Post by Crumpets »

Amyone played it yet ?

I just finished .. err 'receiving' it and have to say ... it's quite disappointing lol.

Image

This is how it looks on my machine .. which is rather shitty, aside from the jagged edges I have to say it's looks bloody good. This is on uhmm 1200x900 everything is on high except for multi sampling.

Oh .. and when you do play it .. be sure you have more than 2GB ram .. or running through the towns = Hell.

Anyone else plan on getting it for the PC>?

lol, I really do have a shitty pc so I don't think you should have a problem.

P4 2.8 GHZ dual.
1GB RAM
ATi Radeon 1650 Pro

That's it basically.

And yeah it's been leaked out : >

Darn. Your shitty pc isn't even close as being as shitty as mine:
AMD Sempron Processor 3000+, 1.8GHz
1024MB RAM
41 GB + 80 GB
RADEON X550

Not gonna work eh? T-T

Well, my puter randomly automatically put everything on high ... I guess if you downed the resolution a little and turned graphics / shadows and effects from 3 .. to 2 or 1 then you should be fine.

Only problems are when a lot of npc's are on screen. That's why you need more RAM : P But yeah played nicely : )

Why you think it was dissapointing anyways? Everyone else was totally positive about it.

The controls for the pc are kinda .. .bleh. Press this .. then this .. then this to stab someone.

Nah I rather just STAB SOMEONE without having to go through set sub menu's. Maybe if I hook my controller up it'll work better .. but for the time being .. =/

maybe you should just wait for the official version... i doubt a h4x0red version works as well. it comes out on 18 april 2008, so it wont take long...unless they move it again.

My PC could take this game no problem but I doubt I'll bother. The game looked very linear, like a medieval Hitman 47.

Well it's true the game is totally hyped, if it wasn't then I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be as enthousiastic as I'm now.
I did like the Thief and Hitman series though.

If my computer can run it I'll definitely get it. :3

Yeah it's VERY linear, it attempts to give you more than 1 way to your destination but it still funnels you into a certain direction.

Space Req: 6.8 GB Not bad tbh.

6.8 GB is indeed something I can live with.

The game has the free roaming thing going on right?

Yeah but that's not till a bit later. First sorta mission is some gay tutorial, 2nd you have to protect your town from the templers or w/e. 3rd and 4th .. is sorta the same lol. Gonna go play it again in a bit and see when I get too fully free roam : >

I've been waiting for it. I fell in love of the landscapes and the clothes, etc.

I'll get it soon i hope, and it better works on my PC, which is not that bad. Decent enough to run it in medium settings, i hope.

:D

Yup, but there's nothing wrong with this release. Ever heard of leaked versions of games? IE HL2 ?

This is a fully working release which has been fully cracked.

My friend downloaded it just to compare it to the PS3 version. You can probably guess the outcome.

But imo paying all that money for a console isn't worth that slight better gameplay.

Well what did HL2 do? They added extra content. I wouldn't be surprised if AC got more extra's like a bonus DVD or some shit.

LOL!! I SERIUSLY doubt that m8!
Ive got the game on 360 almost completed the last memory block and yes the game is shit boring at start! But once you complete the secondary objectives and stuff before going for the assassin mission, it rox. And its soo cool to jump all over roof tops climb towers to have a good view of the town. I love the game! But yea its very monotonous... Same thing you hav to do in all 5 cities :S But other than that good game and GFX!
