It wont even update...

i installed the game, selected a server and then this weird messagebox came up.
So no I didnt replaced the media.pk before update.

i got it fixed i think. I had one installed on my laptop, updated that one to the latest version and copy it to my desktop en then use the new media.pk file..

Hi all,

First of all, thanks for this thread, it's helpful.

Unfortunately, I have the "disconnected from the server" problem and I can't get rid of it...

I've followed the tutorial from this thread, then:

I tried by replacing the media.pk2 file right after the cSRO install, before it updates, didn't work.
I reinstalled the game, let it update, then replace the file, it updates again once I restart the game, but still won't work.
Then I tried to install the game once again, and never replace the media.pk2, it's in Chinese, I can't read anything, but won't work neither.

The problem is I'm "disconnected from the server" after about 1 min I'm in.
For additional information, I'm in div 2, the ÈÙblahblah server.

If anyone knows how to solve it, I'll take it

Anyway, I'm switching to another ISP those days, the current one ends tomorrow, so I probably won't be able to try for a short while.

Just tried with a media.pk2 file from the fev 8th 2008, same problem
Tried to change my CID, still disconnected after 1 minute...

Let the csro client update BEFORE adding the new pk2

As I said in the other topic (Getting everyone on the same Div/Server in cSRO), my char is KimBauer. I still don't know where to play, it'll be inv ? or ÈÙ. I made Kim in ÈÙ, but still lvl 1, and about 3 meters away from the starting point

So, let's go back to the topic.

I did a fresh new install, selected the 2nd division in the list (chinese), let it update, closed the game, replaced the pk2 with the one from the 08/02/2008, started the game again, select the div 2 (now in english), it did update once again, then started the game, id/pass, wait a minute in the character selection menu: disconnected from the server

So, fresh install, update, and start, in chinese, without replacing the pk2, id/pass, wait a minute in the character selection menu: disconnected from the server (well, [][][][][][][][] :p)

I guess I'll wait to be to my new ISP, maybe that's the problem...

Hmm yes, try that and see what happens.. Im not sure when its not your pk2 that causes it to crash

The weird thing is it's always after about 1 minute (maybe 50 sec), even if I do nothing. So I don't think the pk2 has anything to do with that. Wait and see I guess.

SO, I tried on my laptop (way to crappy to play with it, but it's able to run the game), and I had no problem...

So back to my main PC, I begun looking into the running processes, nothing. I uninstalled some applications (the ones I never use)... nothing.

Finally I created a new user, with no rights nowhere on the system, but on the sro folder. And it worked. I'm lvl 2 on the inverted ? as KimBauer ^^

But I don't know what's the problem anyway.

no me neither, but since you said it worked on a diffrent user. There has to be smthing on the other user that caused it. Wich we cannot help

everytime i attempt to make a new char i get dc a within a few minutes into making the char but i did manage to make 1 and when i start lvling myself up i cant get 5 kills without getting dc...any1 know wat i can do to fix this problem

His post subject says "Can't connect to server (C7) In Csro help?" so I believe he has a invalid CID (Under the age of 18) or his firewall is blocking SRO.

Add csro to firewall exeptions
And add a new CID wich Mr.Dark can give you trough pm.

I PM'd him a CID it might work might not. I always have good luck though when I start them with 0 xD

Okay I am having trouble with having both versions downloaded..

I have the two separated folders of Csro and Isro but I have redownloaded 3 times and every time when I try to load up Isro it says FileManager.dll cannot be found but in the Isro folder GFXFileManager.dll is in the folder so I don't know why the hell it won't work so what can I do so I can use both?

+1 here, same problem, try same solution, failed. Any more sugestions? I have played in the Saturday without problems.

I cant access the csro website or the game anymore ... but through a proxy i can access the website ... so is my ip blocked or just coincidence?

In isro people who have this problem can sometimes fix it by adding the ip and port of the servers to a file in windows, would that work maybe?

Its getting really annoying, I played hard with my char and I dont want that work just to be for nothing

Hi, i've followed how to install Csro, i've installed it, put the english media.pk2 patch on it, registered to the chinese web, now, How do i put my id and pw in?

i put my normal one into the ID and PW section, the same one i used to register to the website, and it stops for 5 seconds then disconnects. Do i need a Chinese id and password?

im confused with the CID thing too
