Yes I am. Im an American and Im proud of it. I dont Support Bush, or the war in iraq, im not an oilhog, and im not an evangelical christian, in fact i dont belive in god or like organized religion. That said what do you realy have against me or my country. feel free to post but if you do list your country so i can give you shit for all the imperfections and mistakes that your country has made. cause weather you belive it or not your country is probobly just as screwed up as the USA if not more.

this is actualy to put things in perspective. so many people are so biased and anti american and say things and critisize others without looking at themselves in the mirror and recognizing that they have faults too.

Actually he makes a point, theres a shit load of prejudice toward Americans here, but we say something about another country we get warned lol. Guess America is just open game. But anyone who judges whole groups on some are ignorant anyway.

Somebody should lock this before it turns into a shitstorm. We've had threads drag on for pages and pages because people wouldn't shut the hell up about America. I know because I was usually the one telling them to get bent and giving them reasons why they were wrong.

well excuse me for being informal, and secondly im not bragging about anything, Im making a statement, about Prejudice directed at americans and how its bullshit that that is Tolerated when doing the same thing about another nationality gets you punished/flamed.ect Im sorry if my incorrect spelling offended you or whatever. and as far as the favorite football team thing. please clarify.

i dont think this should be locked. There should be real debate about what is acceptable and what is not. If your going to say making Prejudice comments is unacceptable behavior then it should apply to all nationalities, races, religions ect. Ignorant people need some education on this matter and if this gets locked then unfair Prejudice against Americans will continue to be accepted, which is unfair

Most people know less than they actually believe (my self included) we are fallible, we make mistake, Americans are not morbidly obese or mentally retarded. We're people and as people we may not make the right decisions, but at least we don't go around belittling other nations. (yes i know, i just contradicted myself with that last statement :roll:

well the media portraits Americans as kinda Larger than life type of living. I know that's just a prejudice way of seeing the American population as a whole. Not all Americans are bad, its just some of them make your country look bad. Similarly, not all Chinese are bad drivers, just some of them that makes us all look bad.

and I see this tread more of a rant thread than anything else

im sure there is but if someone in a thread was going to say (warning this is not my view just an example) "all arabs are religious fanatics and suicide bombers" then there would probobly be a fair bit of outrage likely disiplinary action by a moderater, flaming ect. but if someone does the same about americans it is tolerated. which is not right
