I've heard a rumor that using a warlock's debuff skills will drain the rod's durability like mad.
What I want to know is, does the same thing happen even if i switch weapons? I'm a warrior/warlock, and everytime i switch back to my sword after casting debuffs, the sword's durability drops dramatically.
Note that I only cast debuffs on party mobs or giants.
So, is it the debuffs that drain the sword's durability, of is it the fact that I'm fighting giants/pt mobs?
thanks in advance,

Re: Weapon durability in regards to debuffs
Sorry, I probably should have been a bit more clear.
I meant that the durability drops (rapidly) as I use the sword, after casting debuffs, while fighting the giant/pt mob.

I beleive it's the initial cast that affects the durability, and even if it didn't, i doubt weapon switching would work.
Started playing again, on CSRO now though, not ISRO (:
Hybrid - 5x 70:70 Hybrid - Ocean[VIP] CSRO
_EXPO_ - 7x 1H Warrior Cleric - ISRO - QUIT

I believe the debuffs don't drain your weapon, but the DoT and its status effects?

Debuffs dont affect durability much. Its curses. Because every curse hit is like a regular hit. Also notice after a curse, you will get like 2-3 extra hits so that drains the weps durability.

[ ] Reach Level 80
[ ] Kill All Uniques
[ ] Participate in Fortress War
[ ] Participate in Guild War
[ ] Finish Farming
[ ] Murder 10 Player Bots
