scary then you dont know what scary is
@Jstar1L:

Re: Cloverfield Movie Monster
To be honest i really disliked this movie. There was a lot of hype over where i live about the movie, i had high expectations and hopes for it.
The start was good, it set the mood quite nicely. I will not deny that. But the actual movie seemed to get worse and worse as it went on. There were a lot situations that were illogical and not explained. Sure you can use the defense "its a monster movie its not meant to be logical", but the thing is, it is. It was set in a modern day time and setting so logic still applies to the world. If i had the dvd of the movie i would go through and tell you each scene in which this can be represented, though not having it i wont do so. Also the exploration of the human feelings and the idea of human sacrifice and loss wasn't nearly explored enough as well. I saw the idea of human bonds and love connection as a theme trying to be expressed within the film.. but i thought it could of been done a lot better.
As far as the actual design of the monster, i didn't like it either. I am more of a classical man.. i gre up with the whole concept of dinosaurs and Godzilla. For me the design of the monster was not to my taste. But hey everyone has a right to opinion do they not?
As far as the personal cam idea is concerned, no comment? It achieved its desired effect but it would of been used to a much greater effect.

I agree with you mate, lol...its a monster movie.
I love Godzilla, but if i even began to try to make sense of them i would fail right
away...if you can belive that there is a giant monster then you have NO reason to
complain about anything else.
