What authors have you met thread.

Title says it all. Just put author's name, where you met him, and at least a book he's written.

(you don't necessarily have to follow this format)
I have met:

Lemmony Snicket in Bloomington Minnesota where he signed me a book. He writes the series of unfortunate events

Brian Jacques in Pleasanton, California while i was volunteering to help out at his presentation. He gave me a handshake and gave me a cool Redwall pin. And yea, he writes the Redwall series.

wow you met Brian Jacques! i used to love the Redwall series, they're still good for reading even if im a bit older now.

I met that guy who wrote Flags of Our Fathers he came to our college, i didn't like him very much though

for inspiring a generation to read and creating a successful book series that was loved by millions. Yeah she deserves a slap for that, and what have you done that has impacted millions of lives in a positive way?
