i dunno if this is completely true but botters have modded client which send out different types of data packets. a GM would tell the difference and there's your bot.
but bot programs are smart now. they know the code of a GM and an undercover GM, becuase they know their "code" makeup. so often you'll see them log off when a GM is near them.

phantom walk that much. if not. then those who dont use phantom walk while grinding might be suspected as a botter.
hehe. even nukers and archers use phantom walk right?
i dont think so cuz phantom walk require a human eye to determine where to go.

What human can do, bot can do. If u are able to find something that bot cant do, then it's the best prevention against bot.
Playing Age of Wushu, dota IMBA
Since a lot of bots are apparently driven by waypoints, perhaps Joymax should occasionally and randomly spawn walls or some impassable object at those points.
That way all the botters will be there humping the walls like mad while real players would just walk around them. If the server detects them there for some period of time then ban them.
Wallsecks = ban.

modified clients is not always needed to bot
those are needed for multi client bots.
i honestly thing solving the bot problem wont solve anything it wont result in more fun, as long as people will buy gold and especially those legit who do it and then complain about bots this whole problem will never get solved. Give the people left a bit more fun (updates) then this whole botting wont be such a big whine for all legits at least as long as they got something new to look forward to, the only thing i look forward to each day is find a decent grind spot without being ks
guess the only effective way they did those last banlist was by actually checking those servers with nearly all GM`s on the reported areas and anything that did not reply got the ban hammer and since some GM hiding in towns they probably used the rev6 packets method too.

idk about the data packets thing cause i was almost banned for botting (when i wasnt XD)
i saw a gm and didnt think much of it but then thought, oh wait, im farming for lvl 1 sos items and im 8+ so its gonna look a bit suspicious and i pressed f12 (i usually leave it on so i cant see my exp/sp) and i saw that the gm had pmed me asking if i were a bot, and threatening to ban if i dont reply xD
im gonna try and find that ss, its buried somewhere

What about every hour of grinding, you are requested to goto a certain co-ord? Its show on the map, but the game purposefully places a building or a tree inbetween you and the co-ord. A bot will just start humping the building, where as a regular player can easily move around the building.
Ooh, I got a sexy ex-staff title!
My favorite way of telling is when a bot starts a nuke but you kill monster before they get it off..but their program still tells them to try and pick up the drops. Not getting an answer from PM tells nothing. I don't answer any random PM's, because it's a beggar 99% of the time, and a shit talker 30% of the time. Which makes for 129% of wasted time for me to answer.
No, but stupid people will. lol I Watched a 5x do it today in pvp and then he got mad. I lmao
packets bots wont attack protectors.
