So who's gonna see the new Rambo
I'm gonna be camping outside the movie theater with a little hut and log fire the night before, some woodsman type shit. Gonna be the first one in the theater on opening day.

Sorry Sylvester Stallone's acting is just laughable. Rocky wouldn't have been the same without him so i'll keep him at the first Rocky, but he really didn't need to push his luck by making 5 going on 6, it was overkill. When the trailer was playing in theaters everyone was laughing. Definately a movie I won't be seeing. For now i'm waiting on "Walk Hard." That comes out December 21st.

Sly is badass.
Arnie is badass.
Van Damme is (was) badass.
Chuck is badass.
Sorry but I look at the overall picture. Everything about movies is acting, so that statement didn't make sense. Haha van damme, steven seagal, chuck norris, all laughable "heroes" if you ask me. Whatever floats your boat though <3

yeah I hate how our movie directors aren't coming up with new ideas and just trying to get money by making remakes or stupid comic book charecters. Be a little original please
cause king kong, spiderman, batman (seriously how many more batman movies do we need?), indiana jones 4 (lmao 3 is enough and we don't need an old man to do it) are just so terrible regarding originality. All we got now are flashy colors and explosions that keep people interested

Well if you look at the overall picture of action hero type films 70s/80s/even early 90s you need a badass and lots of guns. You don't need lots of acting skills to keep a straight face throughotu a whole movie as you gun down legions of men. What you do need is a badass attitude, badass look, and preferrably a jacked frame (no homo)
These days actions films don't have heroes, they always have a bunch of stuff that deviates from the main plot and there's always some chick in there for a bit of romance and sex (which ends up being awkward 90% of the time.)

I didn't enjoy King Kong, Although I did enjoy the Spiderman series minus the 3rd, too many flaws to rant on and on about. I enjoyed the new Batman movie, and i'm awaiting the new Dark Knight movie to be coming out in 2008. I liked the Indiana Jones series, but yes....unfortionately they are making a new one for 2008 which is just ridiculous, I'm assuming Harrison Ford will be in a wheel chair cruising out of the way of the rolling boulder. So I agree, yet at the same time don't. Some series just don't get old. Take James Bond. How many have they made? A LOT. Yet From Sean Connery to Roger Moore, to Pierce Brosnan and finally to Daniel Craig, it's a series that never gets old. In my opinion.

*sigh* The attitude, and all that comes with the actors portrayal of the character is acting. So them being "badass" is their ability to act "badass" Some pull it off better then others. I think we are thinking of the same concept, just looking at it different ways. I guess in theory to add to your list you could take Terminator to be one of those non "acting" roles that portrays a "badass" character with guns and violence. Some don't really care about how the acting is in an action film. I'm just a little more critical about those small things I suppose.
