So I accidentally wasted some sp on Mountain Shield. My question is should I get rid of it with heart's quest? Is the 10% BR increase any good? I already have Ironwall Shield lvl 3 so 505 def increase is nice.
I've been testing but the dmg has been VERY random. With Ironwall Shield on, which says it only increases phy def, it seems like I take both MORE dmg and sometimes LESS dmg when it is on.
With MT Shield's 10% BR increase, I see LESS blocks. WTF
So i'm a pure int. Someone with exp with this series, Should I keep the 10% BR and use it on pure ints, or just stick with the ironwall shield and it's extra def and delvl mt shield.

Re: Shield Series Help!!!
Probably not worth it, but it still wouldn't hurt. Max the series, use the BR buffs while fighting ints, PHY def on str based oppenets.

Re: Shield Series Help!!!
Maxed, at level 88, Giant Shield gives 38% extra BR. It MIGHT be useful, but only when maxed.
Consider the average BR 16 shield:
16 * (38/100) ~ 6. Thus, it turns a BR 16 shield into a BR 22 one, for 15 seconds.
Consider now SoSun BR 21 shield:
21 * (38/100) = 7,91. BR 21 becomes BR 29.
Don't know what to say, it might be useful when maxed, against INT, but only if you have the required SP. Also, as far as I know, using one of the shield series applies the cooldown to all of them. That's how it was at 80 cap anyways, I don't know, things might have changed now.

Re: Shield Series Help!!!
I think that the series actually adds br according to the percentage.
eg. a 15 br shield with mountain shield lvl 1(10%) = 15 br + 10 physical br for 15 seconds.
25% to block a physical attack but a normal 15% chance to block a magical attack
I saw a high level using the last book for that series and he was blocking more shot than the person was hitting.
Look at the shield passive. At lvl 8 it adds 9% br. Why would they make such a useless passive? for a 20 br shield only 2 br would be added so its a very much useless passive at the lower levels.
Thats what my guess is.
