a creepy story

*A creepy story, as told by my friend*
Once there was a young teenage girl. She enjoyed reading in her leisure time.
One sunny day after school, the girl planned on going to the neighborhood bookstore to look at books as she was walking with her friend.
"But you shouldn't go there...I heard some bad and strange rumors about that bookstore and the man that owns the place..." her friend said.
"Oh, whatever, I'm just going to go there to look at books. You don't have to come if you don't want to."
She walked into the old bookstore alone and walked down the aisles, peering at all the titles shelved neatly into place.
There she found a book that she immediately wanted. It was a 500 page ghost story book with gold tipped pages and a beautifully decorated ornate cover. The girl's favorite type of story were creepy stories. She wanted it so badly, but she didn't know what the price was. Yet no matter what, she really wanted that ghost story book.
So she went to the cashier to buy the book.
"Can you tell me the price of the book? There's no tag on this," she asked.
The cashier replied, "Oh, that valuable book is worth $500."
"Wow, $500? That's an awful lot for a book."
"Yes, but this book is very special."
"I can't wait to read it, then."
The girl hands the man her cash, and makes way for the door, but before she steps out, the man says, "Oh but I must warn you, you must never turn to the last page of the book. NEVER."
The girl was confused, but she heeded his warning.
Days went by and the girl fell in love with the book at once. She was already at page 267. She would leave it at home by her window every morning before she left for school and return to read it again.
One windy and stormy day, the girl returned from a day of school. As she stepped inside home, she heard an eerie whistling, like the sound of the wind. She walked into her room and found that her window was left open, her book, left open, lying on the windowsill. Right then when she noticed that the strong wind was rapidly blowing the pages of her ghost book to the last page, the girl ran as fast as she could to the book.
"NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo!" The girl screamed.
She reached out to the book at once to stop the pages from turning, and she quickly and violently pounded her hands on the page. But it was too late.
At the moment she touched the book, the book was already at the last page.
The girl gasped. She felt cold sweat dripping down her neck as she dared not to look at what was on the last page of the book. Yet she couldn't resist a peek.
After moments of hesitation, the girl finally got the courage to take a peek at what was on the last page.
She moved her cold and shaking hands that covered the last page of the book and saw the almost-empty page.
But at the bottom left corner of the page, there was something written there....
in small, minuscule letters...


"This book costs $50"
