Trader till level 40 then choose whatever you feel suitable. Thief won't make you rich but it's fun

Agreed, be trader till 40 and you're naturally protected by sro rules so long as you're only carrying 1 stars. Starting out as a thief helps your job developement in future either as hunter or thief.

This is my personal opinion:
Thief as the hardest and most challenging job. Pointless being a high lvl trader if you love alot of adventure since your topmost priority is keeping yourself alive while hunters protect you. True you will earn quite a sum, but most of the time money your earned by grinding covers more than what you traded / jobbed.

Rmbr: jobs are for fun. ^^

You will get bored as a thief under lvl 42
most of the time high lvl hunters will be around
and you might end up bored, while you can get a friend as
trader and make some gold

She would have been murderer, and possible working with some thiefs nearby. Its simple, she kills you, the thiefs get the trade. The only way to avoid this is to kill her before she kills you.

Hope it wasnt on eldorado server...
Most likely you attacked a lvl10 or under murderer char, under lvl10 you can res at same point, so after you attack her, she can attack you back, a int based char with lvl80 masteries and maxed out nukes can most likely 1shot a lvl45 or under :)
So, if your trading and see a person with their name in red, dont atack them!!

Oh, replying to topic, trader is the best job for low lvl players

not true i found a gold cheat sorta
here it is

.must have 2 computers and 2 accounts and 1 accoutn lvl 30+ perferably

1 must be trader and 1 thief

give the trade account enough gold for a lot of 5* trades and on the trader account go buy 5* then give it to the theif and go sell it at thief den you wont make any gold till end of week when u get the 10% from thief associate and it isnt a hell of a lot but the more u put in the more u get back and u really raise thief lvl fast with this
i suggest u be pure str though cause im lvl 64 and i got full +4 gear and if i didnt have that then i woulda died when my 13 lvl 76 hunter npc spawned on me lol

I suggest you spend all your time lvling until about lvl 30. at lvl 30, trading can be good especially high lvl hunters will be glad to help you do your trade run. Other than that, don't consider being a serious hunter or theif until at least 50 or 60.
