Thought it might be a useful guide...

for those of you who were actually anticipating a guide... urm... i don't have one... lol

Was hoping someone could offer their 2 cents on this...

there seems to be a lot of people who're trying to cheat people... just earlier today I saw someone selling arrows for something ridiculous (over thousands)

and i, being the nooblet that i current am, definitely was cheated a few times when i was buying some low lvl weapons and armor.

so what are the general guidelines for purchasing goods?

maybe someone can enlighten me on this...

and this will be useful for people who make the effort of coming in here i guess...

and oh... i apologize if this is a repeated thread...... like i said... being a nooblet... i dunno if something like this has been discussed before.

I'll give one tip about buying weapons, items, and equipment. Go to the NPCs first and see how much a standard item of that type sells for. If you're being sold something for substantially higher than the NPC sells for, you're most likely getting ripped off.

The biggest exception to this rule is with Seal Of _____ equipment. Seal status increases the player-to-player sell price considerably. I would advise, however, not to buy Seal items at large cost untill you're a little less 'green' in the world of Silkroad and know what sort of prices are acceptable.

that's good advice from moogie, street smart advice.

however, you can call me lazy. :oops:

but anyone have the prices from the NPCs? It tends to lag for me whenever i try to get near them. people like to crowd around the NPCs.

another tip...

Arrows are arrows. They cost 1 gold or 2 gold. There is no special arrow that deals more damage (yet).

also there are no special exp or flying capes. they are just regular things that let people kill you. they cost 500 gold, not 5000. buy them from the jewelery seller.
