Im making a mage.. need opinions

Hey all, well im just starting a new mage, and i was wondering are they fun? and do you enjoy playing on it?

From what I have heard from my acquaintances on the Silkroad is that wizards are quite an enjoyable character to play on. Versatility makes them a unique fighting adventure. I would advise choosing a wizard.

as a full INT Wizard i just have to say ITS AWESOME!!!! europeans may have that 15/sec. delay on potions but european wizards are so powerful im fighting 5-8 levels higher and it takes 2-3 skill hits

and since theres so much extra mastery i learned cleric and i can heal and ress and buff but harp is actually a really good secondary as well

ya they are definitely fun chars to play. however you may get bored after lvl 30 as the new attack skills dont come till 60. If you're not too interested in sp farming but still want a nuker char. you can try a rogue. their damage is insanely high, ce is similar to life control, and they require a lot less sp as well as having more hp

In most normal servers you will run into a lot of problems leveling between 30-40 due to powerleveling and gold bots. It got to the point where it just wasn't worth dying as much as I was on my Wizard and decided to make a Rogue instead. I've tryed both Wizard/Bard and Cleric and have to say Wizard/Cleric is much better for both PvE and PvP, although you can argue Bard in both cases.

Wizards are fun, but you need alot of sp like you said.. http://www.nivlam.com will help you with how much sp you need... If you don't know how to sp farm I suggest you look at guides or tuts; I had a 30 wiz and I have to admit it got frustrating at low lvls when you train by youself but just don't give up.. xD hope it helps at all.

yes i am very frustrated at this point in my mage.. it better not be so dang difficult later
