sword+bow pure int build, should or shouldnt?

Post by The Kid »

Hi, im new to sro, I have read over the board, many ppl develop their char to sword+spear or watever...

I want to dev my char to sword+bow, since i think i can atk in near range w/ sword, and in distance w/ bow. Am I wrong about smthing?

my char will be:
sword: 80
bow: 60
cold: 80
lighting: 80

*small question: why dont ppl develop cold and fire? but cold+light or fire+light..

Thanks!

dual weapon doesn't work anymore at 80 cap. Just stick with one of them. Go pure int or hybrid for sword. Pure str or 70:70 for bow.
For chinese characters, lightning is one of the most important element b/c of speed.

actually at 80 cap it still works pretty well the problem is with the impending 90 cap where dual wep for chinese wont be a viable option

Pure int s/s/bow is a viable build, but difficult to play with, needs a fair amount of sp to work properly, and good equips (alot of gold and alchemy). If your charachter just started out lvling up, you'll have to play super hard to get high enough lvl, with enough sp, just to enjoy this build at our current cap. Once 90 cap becomes available, most dual weapon (especially int based) builds will not work efficiently.

Your charachter plan

my char will be:
sword: 80
bow: 60
cold: 80
lighting: 80

Wouldnt take advantage of pacheons best skills (stun, kb, mind bow) and wouldnt deal enough damage to be of much use pvping at 80. I cant tell you how I balanced my masteries, as I would like to keep that special for my char :). What I can tell you is that this char build is extremely fun to play, and versatile enough to keep your opponents on their toes.

If you as pure int want to take bow only for the ranged attacks, then you might as well just stick with pure int s/s. Considering they have nukes as ranged attacks.

ps: i did some bzness in sro for a lil' gold so going for new char is piece of cake after all :D
