SRO Works Great! But screen freezes.

As I said in the tittle, my friends sro works perfectly fine until his screen freezes up and we know that hes still on and can move with the keyboard and everything, just cant see whats going on cause the game froze up on his monitor. This is not a monitor issue either . It's also not a viruis problem either or drivers update problem

Anyone have any idea why he gets this problem? Thx in advance for replies!

i used to have this problem a long time ago... strangely, it had to do with sound drivers.

I've had this problem before. I don't know what causes this, but I do know how to fix it. Next time your friend's screen freezes, tell him to press alt+windows key+enter. This will minimize the game to window mode, and you will be able to move again. Hope this helps. To go back to full screen again just hit the buttons again.

so i just need to buy a new sound card?
i have a SigmaTel Audio right now.
