counter strike source 1.6 questions

i was wondering, please dont rape me by asking these questions

ok i hear ppl saying css 1.6 O.O

1. so i wanted to know is that just the name they give it and counter strike is 1.5? u know the verison before this one. when css was release was it 1.6 already or it that a recent update?

2. um i was wondering is the 1.6 the one from steam and not stores o.o
or is the one sold at stores 1.6 already?

3. also if the store ones arent 1.6 when u buy it and play it does it upgrade to 1.6 o.o wat i mean is f it doesnt come 1.6 is there any way to update it which out having steam

i know these questions appear retared to the ones that play the game
im just lost O.O

i never owned a copy of this game played it lone time ago in friends house
it was cs and i saw css in wallmart 20 bucks and i wana buy it =D

both 1.6 and css u can buy in stores or from stea, i suggest store.
both css and 1.6 are out of date when u buy so be prepared for a lil updating.
