SP farming mean that you have a 9 lvl cap between your lvl and highest mastery lvl, so you get maximum skill experience. Then you will not grind but farm sp, i think without gt you get 1 sp per kill when doing it.

By the way: you don't get 1sp for a kill if you have a gap of 9, without gt. With gt, yes...
