Wizard! sub-mastery?

As the title says i am wizard now and i have two sub masteries in mind.
Bard and Cleric.

Cleric because a lot of people are recommending this i dunno why.
It would me help if someone could exlplain me why a lot of people chose cleric for their sub-class.

Bard because it has some nice buffs like moving march and noise which will help me a lot while solo grinding.

But i dunno what is better and why people say cleric is a better choice.

for solo
noise and march, a wizard is design to kill fast, not to outlive its enemy, if u can 1 hit nuke it, ur dead
cleric
for party
res, heal and other healing things will help u alot in a party, it will help u find parties and to party grind more
so its ur decision
i chose cleric, and i regret it when im solo >>
but happy when im in a party ^^
