Ok, brand new to this game altho ive played lots of other MMOs. Decided I want to make pure int lightning spear. Found a good guide for it on the onrpg forums, but I dont know what order to max my skills in. So far all I've done is keep my hekusal/ligbtning masteries at the same level I am, which is 12.

That guide isnt very good. If you keep your mastery at your level then you will never get any SP and thus will have almost no skills. I would say to leave a medium mastery gap and just level up your imbue a little bit to get that kick.
