What happens at zero durability

What happens at zero durability
So when a weapon hits zero durability, does it immediately break? Or is there a chance to break if you use it after it drops to zero?

Oh it breaks, meaning of course to the obvious you can't use it anymore until you repair it at a NPC Blacksmith. And no you account doesn't get "deleted"

Ah ok, I was wondering if it hit 0 durability, the item because forever unusable or something to that effect. Thanks for the response
