Trader & Theif : What Has To Be Done
The only Fair way.
know i understand some people will not agree with this and some will
even call me names and try to discredit me, if they do let them and
we can see the morons that they are.
now, as well all know a theif can only attack a 2* trader or above...its the
way the game works. but with the new job update coming we will be stuck
with our jobs for 10 weeks (if the rumor is to belived).
now as a theif my job is to kill traders, take their items and return them to
the theif town for money, but with almost 90% of all traders doing 1* trades
how can i do my SRO job? I mean seeing how nearly every trader is doing
a 1* job how can i attack them? well to some the answer is 1* pop
to let my NPC theif kill a trader. But to some this isnt far how is it, but
doing a 1* trade isnt far either.
i mean if your a trader there should be some risk involved, likewise
for a theif if everyone does 1* trade all the time what can you do????
i for one say make 1* popping impossible and how you ask, well thats
the easy one. Get rid of the 1* trade..i mean hunter = hard job, theif =
hard job, yet trader = easy have you have a basic "sandbox" option
that gives no real challange. But without it then it evens things up a bit
more...i mean hunter and theif can still attack each other, but why the
hell should a trader get away....get rid of 1* option, make the trader
job a real trader job..hard, and make the theif job a real theif job...being
able to kill and take for any trader.

I think you should only be able to do 1* up to a certain combat lvl.
I tried a fre 1* runs at lvl 20 and kept getting popped. I didn't stand a chance against the NPC thieves.
Now I do stand a chance so I wouldn't mind doing 2* and up.
I do think 1* popping unfair on those who have only just started. Your first time is difficult enough with MOBS and normal NPC thieves, let alone spawned NPC's.

Well technically you're "not supposed to" pop. Thieves would have a much easier time doing their job without "breaking the rules" if there was no 1 star protection.

Yes, but then you take away the low level job action.
No 1* protection = capped players killing any trader that leaves the gate
Not being able to do any job well untill your in 8th degree would suk, at least the way it stands now, the lowbies have a chance to take a break from the grinding without having to have a hunter.
I would however agree with a, somewhat of a 'cap' for 1*'s where anyone in 8th degree wont be protected. If you make it any lower than 8th degree, then people would get slaughtered by all the 8d thieves.

3*=15 gap
4*=20 gap
5*=everyone
so lvl 20's who wanna try the jobs dont immediatly get owned by a party of 80's and hate SRO forever
I actually like this idea. 1 stars aren't untouchable this way, but they still have some safety by only allowing a 3 gap, and it gets more dangerous the more stars you have.

Last I heard you play on Olympus and were level 50 something?
I can find multi-stars on Olympus when I am messing around with thieves. Plus I do multi star trades. Maybe you just aren't looking hard enough or just aren't patient enough.
Changing the trade system because of your lack of luck or patience is silly.

lol yes i like to whine, my first proper thread in a few weeks but still i like to whine
and yes i have a lvl53 on olympus and i think the current system has to
change...and see what its like on KSRO hopefull it will become like that
soon

well arnt you forgeting that a theif only is a theif to make gold...also
consider that being a trader is a hard job...going from city to city with
a possibilty of attack by mobs/an npc theif and a player theif, so then
why is it that its so easy for them...1* takes away any challange at all.
at least as a theif you have to work to get your reward (gold and exp)
as a trader its way to easy...i say cap the 1* at 30 or 40...give the theif
a chance. because as it stands its the most unfair and unbalanced of the
jobs

it's also unfair to the low level traders who have very little money. What happens if they don't know a high level? They're going to get popped. If they do over 2*, they'll get robbed.
So 1* is perfectly fine, you've just got to be able to catch the people who do the multi trades.
And yeah, they do go multi. I robbed three 4* trades and split it with a friend.

Maybe now that a lvl 80 can pack close to 500k worth of goods in an ox it will be worth it....well...if they survive their own spawns that is.

it other then exp.
and i say cap 1*...said it before and ill keep on saying it. cap at lvl40
at that lvl you know the game and have no reason not to be able to handle
a 2* trade (oh and they do that in KSRO so there, to all the doubters)

I still dont get what you meant with the underlined bit. Your going around in circles. So according to this, hunters are the only people that get nothing from jobbing, so why not give them some advantage instead of making thieving easier?
Also, you have a funny way with words trying to make it look like it was your brilliant idea, lol. At least give credit where it is due

look am just trying to get my point across ok, but its hard when people
go on about how hard traders have it....when a theif has it 100 times
worse as far as am concerned ok
