System freeze with geforce 6600 GT
Every once in a while when I'm playing on my new machine the system locks up. I usually have iTunes streaming internet radio and that continues playing, but the video is frozen, no cursor movement, and CTRL-ALT-DEL does nothing. Only happens when playing silkroad. I have the newest drivers and I'm pretty sure it's not an overheating problem because the case is blowing out very cool air, I feel no heat from either the processor fan or the card fan. Anyone experienced this and found a solution?
LOL
Hmm, thats strange, I use a 6600gt aswell and get nothing but beauty from it. Can you tab to a different proggy when this happens? You could use something like Sandra from SiSoftware to check your temps and what not.
Also, not to state the obvious, but if its like mine, it needs a power dongle plugged into the card itself, I missed that at first hehe.

I figured out that if I window the program I can use C-A-D to get to the Task Manager and close SRO. But now when starting the program I get a series of errors:
dxdiag gives me errors also when doing 3D tests (color is wacky because I made it a lower quality bmp to reduce file size, my screen color is fine):
EDIT: All errors remain after logging off and on, all errors disappear after restarting completely. I don't expect someone here to know how to diagnose this, but does anyone have a good idea to whom I should send this information? It's good to have something, at least it's not a faceless problem any more.
