Full SoS Set?

Post by MoBo »

I'm trying to get around a full SoS set for farming at lvl 24, and I once heard that if u have all SoS then u get like +5 to all stats or something like that, is that true? Thanks.

There is no friggin bonus except the fact that you are stronger than in npc gear.

No bonus. The gear is equivalent to gear 5 levels higher (assuming it has no +s).

Having a full set of SOS gear is like wearing a full set of gear 5 levels above what they are. SOM is ~10 and SOSun is 15. You don't get any actually bonuses other than the fact that the equipment is better than the NPC stuff.

Okay. whoever has been telling you
SOS= +5
SOM= +10
SOSUN= +15

they are lying. SOS doesnt compare to the + of a weapon. it either does more or less but a SOS is never a +5. som never a +10 and sosun is never a +15.
Whatever tickles your pickle.

They are merely comparing the physical and magical damage which do match at about those figures.

sos is approx.=+5

so basically its a +5 stat w/o the elixirs and if u add +5 then it'd be +10 compared to the normal 24 set

My SOSun+5 level 1 spear was exactly the same as a level 21 spear and a level 16 SOS spear. My level 32 SOS+1 was exactly the same as my level 38 spear.

Depends on there Phys and Mag %'s, 0% = Plain +5 near enough, 50% = Plain +6 near enough, 100% = Plain +7 near enough

So a level 16 SOS Spear with 0% Mag will have the same give or take 5 magical damage points, as the same as a level 1 sun spear with 0 % mag.

a 32 sos can't be exactly the same as a 32+5. BUT it can be the same as a 38 (+x) spear. Theoretically it should be possible.

BUT it cannot be the same as a normal 32+5 because of the reinforce. Maybe if the sos is at 0% and 32+5 is at 100%? dunno how much it varies...

You get +5 int +5 str, and +15% moving speed... Or something.

And to the "sos=+5" stuff, I have to say this:

GM's said that sos is +7, som is +8-14, sosun is +15.

Everyone says "nah, it's not the same". But people compare different stuff.
There is a formula which makes different degrees and level more powerful. What I mean by this is that a lv 32+3 weapon is not the same as a lv 35 weapon. This is because though the +3 comes close, the lv 35 has a base of 35, which makes it more powerful.
it's hard to explain, but if you were to compare a 32 sos weapon with a 32+7 weapon, all stats being "0%", then they would be the same. Whether as if you were to compare a 32 sos weapon with a 35+4 weapon, the 35 would be more powerful due to its higher "base".

I'm pretty sure full sos set doesn't give bonus.

Just better defence. Hope that answers your question. If you add : Int,Str,Mp and Hp Then of course the bonuses are added up through the set. And you can only put Hp and Mp on Head,Chest and Legs. Hope this helps ;)

My guildmate busted this myth around a year ago already, he had full sos set clothes, jewels, blade, shield and everything was even the same degree and no mixture between armor/prot. No bonus.

Ahh. I only said what I said because on the site they claim that there is a bonus. Either it was removed by accident, on purpose, or there never was a bonus.

Although then again, you said he busted it over a year ago, so perhaps things have changed?
