new bow skills, are we ganna pwn now or what?
i heard that jm was making some new bow skills witht eh next update... like i heard we get knock back and stun.(in two seperate skills) anyone got anymore info on that?
and also if they make a new skill that knocks back, they should use it to replace autom wind series.
it would be so cool to like pull back for like anti devil(but new skil) and then a big wave of energy pushes back allt eh enemies in front of you so you can range them again. they could call them
bk1. force-wave
bk2. force-push
bk3-force-force(as int he star wars kind ^^)

Somehow the English Longbowmen missed their history classes.
Back on topic, it seems they will get very strong indeed. On the test video we saw a Full STR Bow, and that makes me wonder how will Hybrid Bows and full INT bows do after the update.

Your ignorance, specially on using the word "solo", has made me do a small research.
Wikipedia wrote:The longbow decided a number of medieval battles fought by the English, the most significant of which were the Battle of Crécy (1346) and the Battle of Agincourt (1415), during the Hundred Years' War and followed earlier successes, notably at the Battle of Halidon Hill (1333) during the Scottish wars. The longbow corps saw particularly heavy casualties at the Battle of Patay and this loss contributed to England's eventual defeat in that war.
Although bowmen were still deadly at close range, they were light skirmishers unsuited to prolonged hand-to-hand combat and were understandably vulnerable to a committed attack by cavalry. Consequently they were often deployed behind physical barricades, such as stakes and poles driven into the ground. A longbow corps was vulnerable to ambush until its defensive barricade was complete. This practice discouraged offensive battle tactics because the longbow was most effective when an opposing army charged.
A common battle formation:
* Light Infantry (such as swordsmen) in the centre forward, in rank formation.
* Heavy Infantry (often armed with poleaxes or pole weapons, with bill hooks being the preferred English weapon) in the centre middle, in rank or square formation.
* Traditional Archers and Crossbowmen in the centre back, in rank formation.
* Cavalry either on the flanks (to protect against attacks), or in the centre in reserve, to be deployed as needed (for example, to counter any breakthroughs).
* Longbowmen were usually on the side, in an enfilade formation, rather like this: \ ___ /, with the middle being occupied by melee troops.
A skillful general would alternate flights of arrows with cavalry charges, sometimes alternating flank attacks to induce shock and fear in the enemy. The arrows were used in volleys and not aimed at specific targets until the enemy was quite close. The English used longbowmen in unprecedented numbers in the Hundred Years War, as the dominant part of their armies, with approximately 7,000 archers in an army of 9,000 at the Battle of Agincourt. The psychological effect on the enemy of the famous 'cloud of arrows' from the concentrated fire of so many thousands of archers should not be underestimated.
If you're too lazy to read, it means that they were a dominant part of the armies. Cavalry were actually low-numbered during the european middle ages, and the infrantary were there either to assault or to stop the enemy from getting to the archers. It's more like the infrantary "tanked" and the archers killed, not that archers "supported" the infrantary to kill. I'd go with 100 archers over 100 spearmen anyday.
If you want to keep this duscussion rather PM me, this isn't what is on topic.

well a bow would in sro aslong as there is a tanker helping win any fight when i say support it means someone else does the close combat i never said they were useless, in most stratergy games i play i have more archers and things that attack from a range as they are far better then the 1v1 spear and axe people as these die more often
in age of mytholgy have your handful of heros and the archers supporting

Stay on the friking topic please.
I know 3rd book of strong bow (the one that takes super long to charge)
is gonna have like 20% knockback.
I know this for sure cuz I got info on new 60+ skills from another website.
But imo the % is too low and its not gonna be too useful.
