about shield block

can shield block when u get knocked down or stunned or when u are in a ice/fire wall?

why would u block in wall when wall is absorbing damage for you?

Maybe you can if its like a nuke and u are in ice wall or something...

i mean like ice wall only absorbs physical damage, can it block magic attacks while u in it?
anyone tried experiementing on this and have a certain answer?

I've blocked while KDed and while stunned. Don't remember about wall because i don't use it that often but I don't see why it couldn't.
