Confused Please Help Max Mastery Level?

I just started playing 2 days ago and starting to really enjoy the game however I have run into a few problems unable to find after searching forum after forum.

What is the max mastery level possible per tree?
Some people say 150, some people say 70 soon to be raised to 80... I just don't understand.

Also, is it possible to decrease a mastery level? Such as masterylevel 1 bow??

The max mastery level for any given tree will always be equal to the max character level. As of right now, the level cap is 70, so the max mastery level is 70. However, the level cap will be raised to 80 soon, making the max mastery level 80, as well.

You can decrease a mastery level by doing a level 20 quest, or buying Skill Reallocation Potions from the Item Mall.
