^No improvements. That's an old map, back from cap 60, I think. It doesn't have river between DW and HT and there is no Taklamakan on that map (there is ingame, since I doubt they managed to disable it).

The old map isn't really more detailed. And as you can see they made it fit the new 3d map(look at Chin Tomb).
