Mastery Gap

So as some of you know I'm lvl 72, barely full-farmed and finally ran out of SP
I've never used gap and actually don't even know how it works.

What I know is that the higher gap you have between your highest mastery and your level the less normal xp you get and the more skill xp you get, and I believe it caps at 9 gap.

Soo, if anyone could explain how gaps work I would GREATLY appriciate it!

Should I get a gap? (otherwise what should I do? I solo FGW alot)
How should my gap look like? (IE. Should I level to 74 and keep my masteries 72, then continue with a 2 gap, will it make me enough SP?)
I'm also thinking of making a 2h warrior/cleric, what gap should I have on that?

you solo fgw alot and ran out of sp O.o ?
look either buy Faded Beads or make 3 gap it can also work
or make 1 gap and use faded beads you get from fgw and buy some

I would suggest running a constant 3-gap for some time. SO yes, just level till 75 and keep the masteries at 72. When you get 76 you can upgrade the mastery to 73. And of course, keep doing FGW as often as possible

I've always avoided gaps cause I get so excited over new skills and all.

And yes, I do all G1's I get my hands on but only started in the early 50s and it's before that that faded beads drop really frequrently so I guess I missed that
