How does it say you are connected to the internet?
The bars just mean you connected to your network, not the internet.

Probably DNS server problem. I usually do a "hard reset" (Take a pencil and press the small button behind your router). In some cases, it might erase your SSID and security.

Re: Laptop problem with internet
unplug powercord from your router, wait a minute. Plug it back in.
is anyone else experiencing the same issues as u?
if yes, then it's prolly the router
of not, then it's ur laptop
Open your browser
FOR IE: extra -> internetoptions -> connections -> LAN settings
if proxy is checked, u have spyware
turn off proxy & turn on auto detect settings
this will fix the prob for a while.
But u will need to scan ur computer
Are u getting an IP?
cmd -> ipconfig
are u getting an ip and standard gateway
if not (could be a problem with router or the laptop)
open device management
devmgmt.msc
check under networkadapters if there isn't a ! next to one of ur devices
Next step is to turn of "show hidden devices"
check networkadapters again
If u see a list of "6to4 adapter #10"
"6to4 adapter #11"
"6to4 adapter #12"
"6to4 adapter #13"
"6to4 adapter #14"
....
Then that's ur problem.
U need to remove all those adapters, if there are a lot; just post it and i will upload
the tool I use at work to remove them.

Or, just right click the wireless icon, troubleshoot problems.
Let the thing reset itself or your router. See if it works.
Most of the time it's just my network adapter on my laptop that needs to be reset.
