Well, What build are you planning? STR or INT? Chinese or European? post this and we can help you a lot more, since there are so many probabilities.

Chinese INT

Cold is a must for snow, so Wep,Cold, Fire or Light

Chinese STR
Fire is a must, and then a mixture of light and cold or Max light or Max cold. I'd recommend getting atleast 30 cold, and 80 light, or Max cold, since snow shield comes in handy. so Wep/Fire/ and then what you want

Europe STRs
Warrior- Can either have Rogue,Cleric,Warlock as subclasses, none others are good.
Rogue- Mostly Cleric as subclass, can go bard for PVE, but PVP will suck, Warlock is good too, but not with holy word being 100%.
European INTs
Wizard- Cleric or Bard, nothing else, (warlock too but that sucks)
Warlock-Cleric for PVP, Bard for slightly better PVE, with speed, I recommend cleric.

Heuksal 110, Fire 110, Force 110.
This one deals more damage cos of 110 fire, but u can't get the damage 20% MP absorption, that Snow Shield gives u.

Heuksal 110, Fire 90, Force 110, Cold 20.
This one deals a bit less damage due to 90 fire, but that doesn't make a huge difference. U have Snow Shield so u have better survivability.

Both of those builds are good, and it's up to u to decide which to select.

Now for skills.

Heuksal
Basically u need everything from here. But what u don't need are Annihilating Blade Series(the first tree). Also u don't need the 2, 4, 6 books from the Fanning Spear Series(the second tree).
U can take them if u have more than enough sp, but i don't think u'll need to use them.
Also, the Chain Spear Series(the combo tree) isn't vital, but they gan be quite good at pve, not reccommended to use them in pvp.

Fire
Take everything, but the nukes. U may also not need the Fire Combustion Series, cos u can buy pots for detection.
If u don't have sp, u may skip Fire Wall too, but u need it for pvp, so it's reccommended to take it, cos it can save ur ass sometimes.
I reccommend to take Fire Shield too, cos it helps against warlocks and other force users.

Force
Here u should take the first heal series, force cure series, debuffs(vital spots) and the last passive. U may also take the harmony therapy series and ress series if u want.

Cold 20(if u choose the second build)
Take Ice guard series, snow shield, and the passive.

after pvping with my 1:1 heuksal hybrid, i found that it is very effective against bladers, s/s
glaive, knockback spamming bowers and warlocks.

why?

  • the builds listed above deal consecutive damage with multiple hits
  • the multihit attacks are weaker than the single hit ones and normally linked to effects,
  • the effects overshadow the damage

for example:
some of these effects like the bower's knockback , can easily change the fight to their favour, and the miniscule damage makes the effects the most significant part.
At this point, blocking the damage is worth more than decreasing it
(for str builds the extra OOMPH to this is: their mag. damage is pathetic)

the consequences would be:
  • complete damage reduction probability of 43% for any chinese build and magical attack using euro,
linked with 43% less effects taken

Spoiler!

for me the chains seemed only of use for int builds where they always deal high damage,
which is normally about as strong as the latest+ 2nd latest soul spear move, but it takes a long time to finish the chains...

And AoE effect of chains is limited to 2 hits of the combo, ghost spear is more useful.
