Alchemy experience (+8, advanced B grade elixir)

After many months of hard looking for a SON staff for my girlfriend's character, we decided to sell one of our SON 2H drops and use the gold to buy the SON staff. In all alchemy I have done, this SON staff is hardest to make. To be specific, approximately, I spent about 80 focus stones, 60 philosophy stone, 40 stones other white stats and 10 stones of each blue (INT, STR, etcc..)... these are for white stats. For the plus, it failed not 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 but total of 11 times from +5 to +6 so it finally went +6 @ the 12th trial after wasting so many of immortal stones (bought from item malls).

Next, I also decided to make at least +8 this SON staff since I've promised to my girlfriend Mrs_Smile so I tried destroying one of my favorite weapon 10D MOON 2H +8 with very good stats and luckily I got a B grade 11d weapon advanced elixir.





Initially, I was trying to destroy this MOON 10D for plus 9 my 2H SON 11d but I didn't because it was such a waste since this is the ONLY MOON 10D 2H in the server as of the time. I thought I could plus 7 the SON staff + A grade advanced elixir for +8 for my girlfriend's wizard char but it didn't went that well (as it failed 11 times from +5 to +6 but i didn't give up) so I go with this way.It was kind of an intense experience to destroy such a good 2H weapon...but I have kept my promise to making this SON staff +8 as you can see below.



I would just like to share this tough alchemy experience with silkroad forum.

i have some questions, because having B elix its pretty rare, and i dont understand why u did what you did (putting +2 on +6.)

when you are trying going for +6, is it 1-2-3-4-5-6? or you wait abit when u make +5 than try +6 abit after.

alchemy requires patience, it may seem like a myth, but you get more fails when rushing with plusses.

and dont start me on my white stats, i wasted about 5000 tabs to make good stats, but who cares, as long as its not hard to buy.

@Gaige, thank! Yeah, actually there were few players selling the B grade weapon elixir for about 2.5 bil... i kind of regret not buying it. I should have kept my 2H MOON which has lots of memory for me. One of my best friends (who quit) made the alchemy for me on that 2H MOON, and it is not a drop, not magic pop, not from stall...but a gift from GM.

@sn1kzZe: yes it is very rare indeed. Yeah putting it on a +6 is a waste but seeing the SON staff failing 11 times from +5 to +6 and I have tried not in 1 day, 1 week but 1 month wasting over 1000 weapon elixirs or more so i learn that this weapon has a very low probability of success in plusing and predict that it will highly likely to be a fail if i tried plus 7. At the same time, I have wasted so much real $ on it already so I just go with +8 even though +9 is way more better looking and slightly stronger attack.

this cap blows so hard I wasn't even trying or bothering to get any son weps.. and got a staff and 2hnd made both of them +10 with 80% stats without even trying >.>. Too bad I quit and gave them to guild mate xD. You kinda wasted your ae b though.. using it on +6 to make it +8 which is so ugly lol. Should have tried to +8 it without ae b then add it to make +10 like 1000000000 others.

That was kind of an interesting post. Congratulations on the B elixir and the +8 Even though I agree with everybody else (and yourself, it seems) - you shouldn't have destroyed the som 2H.

he can still make it +10, i saw a guy putting +1 on +6 and eventually making it +10...

just remember that +2 elix doesnt decrease plus chances, it just adds a number, nothing more.

For those that don't know, to get a class B accessory elixir 100% of the time, destroy an accessory that is full blue and all blues +100%. Plus doesn't matter, I always destroy them at +0.

You spent a lot of immortals in that, you could have bought son+10 staff with the $ u spent. I just wasted 2 immortals for +9 sword. (which is I bought from players that I trust via gold) then I use advance A for +10. Few days later it failed to +11, now its back to +5.

its not a guaranteed fact but in alchemy enhancement, you must fail many items before + it again to increase chances. I usually fail more than 6 items to go + again after +5. So far I have made 2 +10 3 +9. The reason why I tried +11 my sword is that I got failed 12times in a row when trying to make + with my protectors, after my 13th failed with my sword I made my prot legs from +8 to +9.

That's how some alchemy addicts do+ their stuff, in fixing whites, its only normal to waste tons of stones to make it pass +61%, most just go down to +0% or +22%. it is ideal too add all blue first even if its not 100%, then use 30%, 35% stones, assimilation helps a lot when u have bad stats gears it saves you a lot of stones.

your invalid theory just cost you a fortune, i have no idea how long you are doing this method, but its deff incorrect.

notice that theres some sort of "cooldown" between each plus that people make, so even if you failed 10 items, you still tried making +10 or wutever, on an item that was last plussed some time ago.

if you can prove me that you can make +10, within an hour, just from failing other items, ill delete my char.

but untill than, i made many many +9's +10's +11's just with patience.

+7 is kids play today, but you cant deny the fact, that even with your method, youre not following the "most common" method, which is WAIT before trying +9/10.

and this method comes naturally for most ppl, they dont even notice it, since when you as average joe, succeeding making +8/+9, 90% of the times you'd be so thrilled you wont try +10 right away, instead you'll go brag or pvp with your pimped item. its subliminal process, but even when you are aware of it, this is what most people use.

She and I have been playing this game since cap 70 (with the Chinese nukers), @ cap 80, we made the Euro characters (Mr_Smile and Mrs_Smile) at the same time, farmed 1 mil SP and play all the way till today. In our party with her and with other friends, we share items and help each others and that is how Elite_Viet guild has never been down for more than 3 years... If the people who betrays you just because of one SON staff or SOX item, they are not really friends.

Also, if you have nothing better to say, you better save your time posting something useless and save others' and my time from reading something useless.

It is easier said than done! Plusing from +5 to +6 is not the same as plusing from 0 to +1. The biggest difficulty in PLUSING is we do have a limit (either personal budget of how many elixirs we can afford and also the availability of the elixirs in the market itself) and also every item is inherent in itself a certain probability of enhancement success, after trying so many elixirs and you mostly end up with failure, you will know that the item has low probability of success and it suggests that to plus 10 or more, it will take an incredible amount of elixirs and sometimes close to impossible to plus 10 even with so much gold wasted. The actual result you can see is not many people running around in the server with plus 10 or higher.

Nope she doesn't like PVP 1vs1 but in group fight (fortress war, unique, guild pvp practice...) with my warrior character's help, she can be incredible damage dealer and tanker.

Yeah, I kind of wasted the B grade on plus 6... I should have sold this unlucky staff and buy a new one and tried plus 7 on that one and then B grade it for +9. Awww, you quit.

while i certainly agree with the way you pimp the BLUE and WHITE stats, I still doubt about your PLUSING method but it is an interesting point you have made. If possible, may you please post some of your results like the +10 items etc??

I dont have my my 2 +10 with me now, sold it in the early days of 11d update. It was just normal s/s +10, sold the sword for 3b and shield for 2.5b+ +7 shield.

I have now is my son sword+5 and my +9 shield.

u should test with a few alchemy theories that go around

in csro, i know alot of ppl have had success using patterns, eg. they would use say shield elixirs on a shield since it's the cheapest option and if the pattern goes 0, 1, 2, 3, 0, 1, 2, 3, 0, 1, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, then the next one for sure would succeed for a +7 item

some ppl as aforementioned sacrifice other items to fail then next one to succeed...just like the theory of probability...flip a coin 10 times, if 9 times it turns head, then the chance for 10th time going tails would be huge.

some say find an area with less lag, some say lucky spots...

however from my experience i do know that u gotta find the right item to plus because certain items are so unlucky it's not worth it...and also certain time of day affects the chance as well.

so my advice, if you find alchemy extrememly hard on one day - like u cant even get +4 easily -> try it another time...and if 5 days in a row the item cant even go beyond +4/+5 then give it up and find another
