So about a month ago I brought my DS to a tournament as a joke and to have something to do. But a group of my friends got a hold of it and became obsessed with the game for awhile while we were not playing. Somehow I started a trend of pokemon on my team, it's pretty funny. I never thought pokemon would last this long as we grew up, but I guess I was wrong.
But have any of you bought the new pokemon? It looks like it is a remake of gold/silver, which would be awesome compared to their new generation garbage that they keep making. Anyone else going to pick it up? This game seems perfect when I have nothing going on and I am just watching tv. There are some cool new features, but they kept a lot of the old stuff. It is a remake, changed a little with new things added in. Really well done IMO, does G/S justice.

Can't be bothered to spend 200$ on a DS/DSi...so I got the ROM. It's hard to play when I have every other game in front of me =\ Wish I had a dsi.

It is a really good game I reckon. But yeah, gold / silver, with some modifications\ (Like you can get almost every rare pokemon).
Just fninshed school holidays, and I had nothing to do, do I spent like 4 days straight on it, and ended up finishing it pretty much lols. I like how you can trade pokemon from diamond / pearl, and I'm guessing platinum, and essentially ruby, sapphire, fr, lg, with migrate. Shame youcan't clone anymore, lols .. Good times on GB colours lol.

Yea, I completed Johto a day ago. I am already two gym leaders into Kanto. Some serious nostalgia kicked in while playing Johto. It was pretty sweet. As of now my line up is:

I want to get my Onix to a Steelix and then possibly get a form of Eevee on my team. It's fun now since there is a ton to do still. I still have to do the three legendary dogs, the other legendaries, the Kanto field, and then Red. It should be a good game.
