Exploring the boarders of the Oasis Kingdom I encountered the Bloody Death Flower, a lvl 34 mob. Being a lvl 29 wizard only I prepared for a heroic battle. Surprizingly it was a two-shot job. I didn't understand & explored the database. I found:
Black scorpion lvl 31 HP 2013
Scorpion lvl 32 HP 2121
Bloody Ong lvl 33 HP 1997
Bloody Devil Flower lvl 33 HP 1761 (?)
Ong lvl 24 HP 2099
Bloody Death Flower lvl 34 HP 1849
Question 1: Why is a lvl 34 mob easier to grind compared to lvl 31 (measured by HP)?
Even more strange: the Kokoru, vl 31 has only a HP of 1593, must be a piece of cake to grind. I was never killed by a scorpion, but several times by Kokoru's, although there's a difference of 400-500 HP.
Question 2: is HP not a good measure for the effort required to kill a mob? I doubt if lvl is a good measure. Two hits of a Kokoru takes almost all my HP.
Last: I takes me more fire/ice hits to grind the quest mob Red spotted crab (lvl 23) than to grind a Giant Evil order warrior (common type is lvl 27).
Anybody to explain these differences?

Re: Comparing mob: lvl & HP based
Just because the scorpion has more hp than the kokoru doesn't mean its attack is stronger. And also, the scorp has mag/phy atk while the kokoru has only phy atk -> phy atks aren't good for an int-based char.
So, all in all, the monster's atk pwr doesn't depend on how much hp they have.
And about the red spotted crab. It's a quest mob, usually they have more hp than the normal mobs, thats why it takes longer to kill (similar to hungry megalopas).

@Sacrosanctus,
So as an INT player I have to select INT based mob and avoid STR mob?
Or just being very, very careful?
The HP amount is just about how much effort it takes for me to grind &
not how much damage it can do to me. Correct?

well, if you can you shud choose int based mobs, but since there r more str mobs then int mobs sometimes you just need to kill the str mobs and yes, be careful with em.
And yes again, the monsters' hp has nothin to do with their atkpwr.

Re: Comparing mob: lvl & HP based
you will find as you lvl that the mobs hp doesnt increase much. the mobs lvl is based more on attack power or its amount of defense. for example, a lvl 50 mob could have 6k hp and 200 defense. but a lvl 60 mob could also have 6k hp but have 500 defense. same amount of hp but harder to kill.

Also kokuro's are very fast running, scorpions are not.
Same with the flowers, they have a pretty large range, which scorpions don't.

Re: Comparing mob: lvl & HP based
I have a wizard so trust... CAREFUL WITH THE FLOWERS...
Long range and phy attacks, the problem with phy attacks is that they crit... and crits on an int char on garment with pot delay dont end well
Kokorus are too fast, only grind them when you 1hit them
I would go to a mob where you can 1hit with either the first fire nuke or first ice nuke, so you can kill a mob every time you send a nuke

Yep, those Kokorus are faaaaaaaaaast.
Reason why I'm hanging around by mob above my own level is To grow in à quick & legal way. Maybe killing 20 one-hit mobs is as fast as 10 two-hit mobs. Don't know, think this is advanced calculating.

Exactly, 1hit mob makes you kill twice as many mobs, and if you see the exp from each mob, the 2hit mobs dont give 2 times more exp... so its faster lvling on the 1hit
