hybrid glavie

Post by armadilo »

i'm thinking of making a 5:1 str glavie
110 heuskal
110 fire
30 light
80 ice
light is only for the light nuke to lure mobs.

Or should i go
110 heuskal
110 fire
100 ice
10 light

light imbue lvl 1 for luring when spear tossing

I do not intend to pvp to much. mainly training and jobbing with friends.
and taxiing at caves around lvl 75 for 1.5mil an hour

What do you think?
If you think it it bad suggest another build :)
Um how do i post a picture in thie tiny block? Anyone know? O well ateast the words will show. KSERS CAN RUN THEMSELFS OVER. *same with botters*

i dont think hybrid is very useful for glavie. getting light is only for some speed, dont get it for luring purposes. you can gather mobs just fine without it. and dont waste it for nukes.
if you are wanting to p lvl and job then i would say take force. with it you can do good damage, ress people, set up therapy circles, and do good with jobbing. i would rather take 110-glaive/fire/force for your purposes.

Yeah hybrid glaive aint that good and Flying Dragon is good enough for luring. 10 light is kinda useless and waste of mastery lvls.

If u dont mind pvp that much then i'd suggest u to go full str heuksal 110, fire 110, light 90, cold 20 or heuksal 110, fire 110, light 80, cold 30.
A pretty good and universal build for glaive that can't be fcked up so much.

how come noone plays a hybrid glavie?

I don't think that it will be that bad.
Better damage per shot by 3-8k, 4-6k less hp

It seems great for doing cave taxi at lvl 75 or maybe 80

max force, force is useless if its not maxed. otherwise you cant debuff and what not. well you need ress to be high enough to ress the people you are taxiing, and harmony high enough to stop monsters from attacking. but if you want to be helpful with jobbing then max ress.

ehh its just not most peoples builds. str based chars are usually str only. only ints relly go hybrid.

and yea there are its uses, and its downfalls.

it seems great, but you would have to test it to prove its better. and by how much would matter too.

final line i say the safe bet is to go pure str glaive fire with whatever you feel your style is.

Playing sro is not only taxiing.
And as OrangeFeffy said, hybrids are usually int hybs not str hybs.

Never understood the point of going hybrid with a pure str char. Good luck.

Think of it this way

Pure Str || ~~~~~~~~~~~ || ~~~~~~~~~~~ || Pure Int

On one side of the extremes you trade in damage for survivability, the other extreme that's inverted (Damage > Survivability)

Pure Int -> Hybrid Int trades in a lil' bit more damage for more survivability

While Pure Str -> Hybrid Str trades in a lil' bit survivability for a bit more base damage

I guess I'll be a bit biased when I say strs should stay pure, but I've seen some good str hybrid archers...but eh

but archers weapons are balanced with its phys and mag attack
and with bows attack rating increase and being crit based going hybrid isnt much of a downfall as a glaive or a blader since their weapons are heavy phys based and skills are more favorable to strs.

If you are going glavie, go FULL STR. If bower, STR HYBRID

IMO bowers is kind of fun, more fun than a glavier. But a glavier does much higher dmg than a bower. And archer need arrows too... (irritating)

I don´t think so. If u r for example a bower hybrid u will do more overall dmg than a pure str. A pure can´t do hight dmg without a nice crit. so you´ll die without luck on a pure bower
