Soldier vs demoman came out, i have all the new weps.
Crafting system was added.

Crafting is the biggest bullshit they put in the game. You need 112 junk items to make a single hat or 2 hats to make a hat. Uhh.. what? Logic? There is none. 2 hats for a hat I can understand, but 112 junk items to make a hat? C'mon..

^ you have to get the achievements called "Mile stone 1 -3 " to get weps the fastest way. add Holla876 and i'll give more info about it

I only got 3 new items from the new soldier and demo milestones. I have to wait for valve to finally stop bs'ing me and give me my new items. Also have to wait along with a couple others who have all millestones and dont have all the new weapons to watch the others who do. Its ok though, I love valve deep inside

I have TF2 but, how do you get new items. Even though I try to read about it and ask it ingame, I never really did understand.

I'm just going to reinstall it now, I feel like playing. :3

some are random ( valve will randomly give you one, and itll pop up after the round or when you die )
or you can get them by getting the milestones.
to get the milestones for a class, you have to do a certain number of achievements to get one, and once you get a milestone, you get an item for that class ( or at least regularly, valve is overflowing right now ) i believe its 5 for milestone 1, 11 for milestone 2, and 17 for milestone 3
