Message waiting?

When I logged in today I was told I had a message waiting for me. WTF is this and how do I look at it?

Press "U" then Messege Box Tab then ready your messages.

it's a little buggy... last night during our war w/ XLaw, every time i died and respawned, it said i had a message waiting, and i didn't. weird.

That happend to me a couple times, I think it was when I got a msg when I teleported, not sure though ;p.
