So im creating a poem in english class thats about boredom, and i cant seem to think of a theme for boredom. Any help?

I need a universal truth for it a statement.

Something like

"Boredom will end in time"

Tick Tick the clock ticked by

Every second booming in my mind

Boom Boom the clock boomed by

Time, time clicking in my mind


Push ups, squats, 50 I do

Time still moving slowly by

Like molasses down a slide


The clock taunts me laughing

And mocking

Still I sit time ticking away


Restless, I grow

Feels like I’m growing old


Something happens,

My mind clears

The anxiety disperses

The storm has passed

Yeah, I enjoyed the way you incorporated the title within the poem. I've never thought about molasses relating to boredom, but it makes perfect sense.

I could go on. But the fact remains. It's pretty good
