Can not start the game

Post by someuberdude »

Ok so I just installed silkroad and can not wait to play it. After it was installed I clicked the shortcut but nothing happened. I wait for some time and still nothing. My comp is very good. Vid card is a Geforce 7900 Gt and i got a AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz. So does anyone know whythe game will not start. Thank you in advance.

What file is the shortcut pointing to? It should be pointing to Silkroad.exe, not sro_client.exe.
LOL

Have you rebooted since you installed? Try that, rebooting can work wonders on a Windows system.

Someuberdude,
Sounds like this problem doesn't related to SRO but the settings of your computer. Did you build it yourself or buy from a vendor. If from a vendor, maybe you can call them up for technical supports. If you built it yourself, try reinstall Win XP, back up your files first and just do a fresh copy. Don't forget to burn a copy of SRO to a CD so you don't have to download again.
