Months ago i would run into a few days where my internet connection will go into a crawl (or swimming lesson on concrete). Then at the beginning of this month, it just completely died. I've gone through as many ideas that me, my dad and friends (a few i haven't done yet).
I've checked if it was a problem between my router and my computer, but that was ruled out because i can access the router settings internet you can get through the wireless network doesn't work either (Excellent signal though).
I've reset the modem and router, doesn't help.
I'm going to call my ISP tomorrow.
BTW: I'm using the wireless network of some neighbor who doesn't know how to setup a network. They don't know that we are getting free internet.
Edit: Forgot to add that plugging in straight to the modem doesn't help.

We are using their wireless network, i wouldn't be suprised if they haven't set the password on their router.
Called the ISP. Replacing the modem.
Damned allergies are giving me a nosebleed.

I think it has a low range where it couldn't get to your computer.
Or, do you not see the wireless address on your computer?
Mainly if it was your own router then i would be able to help, but seems to me you are just leeching of your neighbors

I'm connected to the router by wire. Another computer is connected by wireless. We used that computer to leech off of someone who doesn't know shit about networks.
Our problem was fixed with a new modem.
Now we have internet that we pay for.
BTW: Whats the defualt password for linksys routers?
