College or University?
Okay heres my situation...
If im going to university, I can get into like 2 courses and only 1 of which im intrested in.
If im going to college I can get into 3-4 courses of which im intrested in.
What I initially wanted to do was go to college then university.
Your opinions?
My friend is urging me to play games so ill post more information later lol
EDIT:
I am in Canada
I AM NOT GOING TO COMMUNITY COLLEGE...assuming theres a difference between "community colleges" and just normal colleges? (The college im looking at is Algonquin College in Ottawa) lol
The programs im looking at for college are 3-4 years (ill get back to you on that)
If im going to university (for a Computer Sciences course) I think i would be "fighting an uphill battle"
Courses for college im thinking about taking if im going:
Computer Engineering Technology - Computing Science
Computer Programmer
Game Development
and maybe Graphic Design

That's what I meant lol. Yeah, you're right. If you go to a college you're basically going to a university too..

Community colleges are two-year, so they can't be universities, but really, unless your GPA is in the toilet and you have low standardized test scores, there really is not point in going to a community college.

There are pros and cons for community colleges. Most people would rather not take out loans. My friend just took out something like $22,000 for his 1st year at Purdue(he was suppose to get a full scholarship but they tricked him badly). He hates it.

In the US, college and university are very similar. However outside of the US they are very different.
Ooh, I got a sexy ex-staff title!

Re: College or University?
if I were you, I'd go to a university rather than a college or technical school. University takes more time and costs more, but you get what you put in. 2 years of college won't get you any good paying jobs while people who study 8 years in college to get a masters degree will start off with 70k+

University is more theory, College is practical over here...
like Jstar said:
University is for higher positions, but it doesn't save a country from depleting its own funds

+1. In fact, in the US I don't believe there is a difference, though universities are often considered higher class.
If you can get into more classes you like in a college, just go for college, they tend to be cheaper as well.
