Islam and Chritianity are also peaceful, but some people interpret their message wrongly. This is the cause of most of the problems, it's a cause you wont be able to find in Buddhism. That's why Buddhism is generally more peaceful.

I'm not a member, but I like the basic tenants of the religion. It's odd though, it's more of a religion AGAINST religions hahaha. I should clarify I suppose though. I hate what most relions teach and also how people who believe in their faiths often behave. Religions are social constructs, and I look at them in that way. Made by people, screwed up by people.

In Iraq, there are women who don't wear it, or who wear makeup, and they are being kidnapped, tortured, mutilated and in some cases beheaded. THIS is the problem. And, IMO, the problem with most religions is they are male-dominated. Men rule the religions and tell women what to do, and it has spilled over into all aspects of life and that is not only stupid, it is WRONG. I don't care if they are extremists, this male dominance permeates ALL aspects of religion, and almost all religions. It's disgraceful, and until women can recognize this in more numbers, they will continued to be oppressed. SEXUAL FREEDOM is just one of many freedoms that EVERYONE should have.

After a few months of the so called recession the market bounces right back up again... Last recession we had was in 2001 and yes they are pretty common. But 80% of the time the market does alot better than it did 8months prior to the recession. And I doubt anyone will be starving or killing over food...
