I did not make that video. I posted it as a joke, as well as my comment was also a joke.

I have people mock Australia's history daily, "Bloody convict" etc etc. I don't like it, but I accept that it IS part of our history and I get over it. I'm proud of our history both good and bad times and Americans should also be.

lolled at the breaking my jaw part though. I already said, If it were legal to carry a gun here. I would.

There are 50 states in the Union. Which states have the biggest "gun problems?" The States with the most stringent gun laws. What a surprise. Guns, in the hands of lawful citizens, deter crime(s). Criminals will get them regardless of gun laws. Ask Washington D.C. or N.Y. how their war on guns is going.

American states are really small though. It wouldn't be much of a task to smuggle them in. Perhaps it works here because we're not joined to other countries, and is illegal in every State and Territory. We also have the worlds toughest Customs and Quarantine's. I think that if the US were an Island on its own, not joined to Mexico or Canada would be able to enforce this law easily. Except they couldn't do it now, too many people farrrr tooo attached to their weapons.

A man was recently put in jail in Massachusetts for driving a few of his rifles up to go shooting with a friend in Maine. The kicker? Safe passage laws say it's legal to do so as long as the state of origin and destination consider your weapons legal.

People in the US might not be so "attached" to their weapons if they didn't have liberals in office who are not only completely against their 2nd amendment rights, but are also completely ignorant of what it is they're trying to ban. This is why you see phrases like "high-powered assault rifle" and other fear tactics used time and again in US media/news. We have to be attached to our weapons because if we aren't we will surely lose them.

Check out these guys, they're one of the more prominent groups of fools: http://www.bradycampaign.org/

Pushers of infamous stories like .50cal rifles shooting down commercial airliners and such.
The Brady Campaign has faced criticism over their frequent use of inaccurate information and selective use of statistics; such as labeling semi-automatic or self-loading rifles as "assault weapons," trying to conflate them in the public imagination with assault rifles, raising criticism over the use of an incorrect term (traditionally, an assault weapon is one used for breaching obstacles such as the Bangalore Torpedo, SMAW, SRAW, APOBS, and Flamethrower.), labeling of hollow-point handgun ammunition as "cop-killers", despite the fact that hollow-point ammunition, by design, expends the greater portion of its kinetic energy on impact, reducing penetration power compared to conventional jacketed rounds or solid slugs, and is incapable of penetrating ballistic vests.[13][14][15] Additionally, the Campaign has in the past called for a ban of non-existent "plastic guns".[16][17]

You would be attached too if you had people like this in your government.

That's my point to an extent - In Australia it is illegal to have a firearm unless licensed which stops a lot of crims getting their hands on them. With all states having it banned, you can't just get a gun in say New South Wales and kill someone in Queensland, you also can't purchase a gun in NSW and bring it back into QLD. That is why I'd say it is seemingly worse off in W.D.C because they don't have the freedom that other states have and some people are willing to bring the guns over the boarder for themselves, while innocent families aren't able to protect themselves from such crims. The only way to get a gun illegally into Australia would be to have it shipped in from Over Seas which as I said before is really hard.

Yeah, this was reiterated to me when I was in L.A for Memorial Day last year, I payed my respect to fallen American Soldiers because I thought they were worthy.

Anywho, A man approached me as he noticed my accent and was curious as to why I was attending. He was one of those people who reenact the American Civil War. He said to me "It must have been a sad day when your Government bought back all your countries guns". This, being a wide misconception of the truth, or in fact is just his belief... it puzzled me. Because I don't know many people, or anyone for that matter who was sad that they had to give up their guns.

I just believe in the Culture of Fear which I have said many times. In the United States the Crime Rate wen't down quite a drastic amount, yet media coverage of such events went up 600%. Just shows the medias portrayal or greed should I say.

Well... the US does have some retarded Politicians, but wouldn't rather have any other country to be allies with :D
